Accuracy and Precision of Continuous Noninvasive Arterial Pressure Monitoring Compared with Invasive Arterial Pressure: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Continuous noninvasive arterial pressure monitoring devices are available for bedside use, but the accuracy and precision of these devices have not been evaluated in a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ The results from this meta-analysis found that inaccuracy and imprecision of continuous noninvasive arterial pressure monitoring devices are larger than what was defined as acceptable. This may have implications for clinical situations where continuous noninvasive arterial pressure is being used for patient care decisions.

Health Outcomes with and without Use of Inotropic Therapy in Cardiac Surgery: Results of a Propensity Score-matched Analysis.
Inotropes used to obtain short-term hemodynamic benefits in cardiac surgery may carry a risk of increased myocardial ischemia and adverse outcomes. This study investigated the association between intra- and postoperative use of inotropes and mortality and postoperative complications. ⋯ Use of intra- and postoperative inotropes was associated with increased mortality and major postoperative morbidity.
