Randomized Controlled Trial
Efficacy of modified pressure cuff for thrombolytic treatment on lower extremity deep venous thrombosis.
To compare the effectiveness and patient comfort between two methods that block superficial venous blood flow during the thrombolytic treatment of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (DVT) to provide evidence that informs clinical choice. One hundred twenty patients with lower extremity DVT were randomly divided into sphygmomanometer (group A, n = 40), tourniquet (group B, n = 40), and control group (no blocking, n = 40). All the patients were treated with a daily dosage of urokinase using a dial sphygmomanometer cuff and tourniquet to block lower extremity superficial vein blood flow. ⋯ The leg pain scores of group A were lower than those of group B and control group. The postoperative comfort ratio of group A was higher than that of group B, and the proportion of severe discomfort in group A was lower than that in group B. Compared with the tourniquet, using a dial sphygmomanometer cuff to block lower extremity superficial vein blood flow achieved a better thrombolytic effect on DVT and provided higher patient comfort during treatment.

Baduanjin, as an ancient Chinese exercise, is beneficial to both physical and mental health. Moreover, researchers discovered that Baduanjin has effects on the recovery of postoperative breast cancer patients. Yet, nobody focused on the systematic review, which can provide convincing evidence to verify the effect of Baduanjin in breast cancer patients. Therefore, our study will conduct a systematic review to fill in the blank, besides we will offer new evidence for clinical workers. ⋯ Evidence that adequately assesses the effect of Baduanjin in the recovery of breast cancer patients will be confirmed through this systematic review. Our study will offer a guideline for clinical workers, besides we will supply a new way for the rehabilitation of breast cancer patients.

The argument on the optimal treatment for patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) remains to be resolved. Therefore, the primary objective of the present study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy versus panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) for patients with PDR. ⋯ This protocol will provide a reliable theoretical basis for the following research.

In hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), a patient is exposed to pure oxygen in a chamber. While HBOT is a long-standing and well-established treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions, one of the main complications is middle ear barotrauma (MEB), which can lead to complaints of ear discomfort, stuffiness or fullness in the ear, and difficulties in equalizing ear pressure. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of self-acupressure in preventing and reducing the degree of MEB associated with HBOT. ⋯ This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of self-acupressure for preventing and reducing the degree of MEB associated with HBOT.

Development dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a common childhood orthopedic disease in clinic. The cause of DDH is not yet clear. If DDH is not treated promptly or correctly, it will seriously affect the life quality of the child. At present, surgery is the main means of treating older DDH, but it is easy to appear development dysplasia of the hip after surgery, and the joint movement is limited after surgery. For modern medicine, it has not many treatments to solve this problem. As one of the commonly used treatment methods, but the effect of routine functional exercise is not ideal. Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing belongs to the category of Chinese medicine external treatment, which can directly act on the focus. It has the functions of relaxing muscles and tendons and removing obstruction from meridians, activating blood to eliminate stagnation. It has achieved good effects in relieving joint disorders, but it is lack of the high-quality evidence support, so there is controversy about the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing. This study will conduct a systematic review to compare the application effect and safety of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing as a complementary and alternative therapy and traditional rehabilitation training in the treatment of postoperative joint function recovery after development dysplasia of the hip in children. The research results will provide evidence-based medical evidence to support the choice of treatment for the disease. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/RUHK5.
