Multicenter Study
Quality of Life and Postoperative Satisfaction in Patients with Benign Extramedullary Spinal Tumors: A Multicenter Study.
Retrospective cohort study using prospectively collected registry data. ⋯ Patients who underwent primary benign EST resection had a significant improvement in HRQOL postoperatively, and ~90% of these patients reported being satisfied with their treatment outcomes one year after surgery. EST patients may exhibit a relatively lower threshold for postoperative satisfaction compared with patients undergoing surgery for degenerative spine conditions.

Preoperative Range of Motion in Extension May Influence Postoperative Cervical Kyphosis After Laminoplasty.
Retrospective observational study. ⋯ Preoperative extension ROM may be associated with the development of postoperative kyphosis. The cutoff value of preoperative extension ROM that suggested the prospect of postoperative kyphosis in our sample was 22.1°.

Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data. ⋯ Open TLIF was found to have a significantly higher rate of reoperation due to ASD compared with the MIS approach. In addition, the surgical approach (MIS vs . open) seems to be an independent predictor of reoperation rates.
