To investigate clinical outcomes in patients with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) after intracapsular implantation of a novel EyeMax Mono macular lens. ⋯ Extended macular vision lenses appear to have a comparable safety profile as standard IOLs in the short to medium term. It could be the preferred lens for improving and preserving visual acuity in moderate to advanced dry AMD patients.

The aim of this study is to determine accurately the localization of the adenoma with the imaging methods in the patients, who are planned to be operated on with prediagnosis of parathyroid adenoma. ⋯ Determining localization accurately for the patients enables performing operations with minimally invasive surgery successfully in a shorter time. Also, fewer complications and faster recovery are seen in the patients. It was concluded that studying intraoperative intact PTH and using 18F-fluorocholine PET/CT method for localization give more accurate results for localization and allow having more successful operation outcomes.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the healthcare provision, and while it has also had unprecedented effects on medical education and training, the extent has not been fully evaluated. ⋯ Our survey, which, to our knowledge, is unique in its representation of the entirety of a national postgraduate training programme, has demonstrated trainees' attitudes that there has been a significant, multifaceted impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of their training.

To determine the relationship between mean platelet volume (MPV) and treatment response of iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) with normal platelet count. Study further aimed to determine changing of platelet parameters treatment response of IDA. ⋯ There is no change in MPV levels before and after treatment when normal platelet count IDA is treated, but there is a decrease in platelet count and an increase in PDW.

To investigate the diagnostic value of pseudocapsule ring hyperenhancement in contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) of focal renal lesions. ⋯ In CEUS, the pseudocapsule of focal renal lesions is a characteristic feature of renal malignant tumors, which can be used as a differential basis for benign and malignant tumors to improve the accuracy of benign and malignant renal tumors.
