This cross-sectional study aimed to identify the determinants of home deliveries among women in Somaliland, with the objective of informing targeted interventions to improve maternal and child health outcomes. ⋯ The findings highlight the importance of targeted interventions to address sociodemographic and regional disparities in the utilization of institutional delivery services in Somaliland. Strategies should focus on improving access to and quality of maternal healthcare services, empowering women's decision-making, and engaging men to address gender norms within households.

To describe the practices and knowledge of Nursing Technicians and Community Health Agents of Primary Health Care for the transgender population. ⋯ The lack of training reflects a cisnormative and binary approach, compromising the assistance to the transgender population. Disrespect for the social name persists, highlighting the need for permanent education for health professionals, aiming at an inclusive and respectful care practice.

[Osteoarthritis: Degenerative changes or adaptive changes? Brief pain advice in primary care].
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease and is the most common joint problem worldwide. It is considered a serious disease due to the presence of pain and reduced functional capacity. Moreover, there are no disease-modifying drugs or curative treatment at present; the basic or first-line treatment is non-pharmacological, based on education and physical exercise. ⋯ In short, osteoarthritis is part of the normal aging process of the population. As with low back pain, it is proposed to apply a salutogenic model of health, paying special attention to the terms used when informing and advising patients. It is proposed a review of the main causes, effectiveness and prognosis of osteoarthritis treatment, in order to provide brief educational advice to patients.

To assess the association between dietary patterns and glycemic control among patients with type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM). ⋯ High intake of sweets, red meat, and processed meat might be detrimental to glycemic control in patients with drug-treated T2DM. High in red meat, while low in coffee, sweets, and high-fat dairy consumption may be beneficial to glycemic control. In addition, high consumption of green vegetables, other vegetables, and whole grains, and low intake of potatoes and processed meat may be good for glycemic control in patients without drug-treated T2DM.

[Impact of primary care nursing discharge follow-up on early hospital readmissions. Observational longitudinal study].
To determine the proportion of people who undergo discharge follow-up when indicated. ⋯ These findings suggest that nursing discharge follow-up conducted in primary care reduces the risk of early readmission.
