Review Meta AnalysisEfficacy and safety of duloxetine in osteoarthritis or chronic low back pain: a Systematic review and meta-analysis.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of duloxetine in the treatment of patients with osteoarthritis (OA) or chronic low back pain (CLBP). ⋯ Duloxetine had modest to moderate effects on pain relief, function improvement, mood regulation and improvement in quality of life with mild AEs in the treatment of OA or CLBP. Future RCTs should focus on comparing duloxetine with other oral drugs and assessing the long-term safety of duloxetine.

Meta AnalysisRisk factors for falls in patients with total hip arthroplasty and total knee arthroplasty: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Falls are common after total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). While previous studies have investigated various risk factors for falls in patients following THA and TKA, no systematic reviews have summarized these risk factors. Therefore, the current systematic review aimed to summarize evidence regarding risk factors for falls in patients after THA and/or TKA. ⋯ This review summarized both non-modifiable and modifiable risk factors for post-THA/TKA falls. Our findings highlight the importance of developing strategies to lower the falls risk among patients following THA/TKA.

Review Meta Analysis Comparative StudyThe relative efficacy of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and capsaicin in osteoarthritis: a network meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
To compare the efficacy of topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with topical capsaicin for pain relief in osteoarthritis (OA). ⋯ Current evidence indicates that topical NSAIDs and capsaicin in licensed doses may be equally effective for pain relief in OA. Whether the equivalence varies between individuals remains unknown.

Review Meta AnalysisPain sensitization in people with knee osteoarthritis: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Emerging evidence suggests that pain sensitization plays an important role in pain associated with knee osteoarthritis (OA). This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the evidence for pain sensitization in people with knee OA and the relationship between pain sensitization and symptom severity. ⋯ Evidence from this systematic review and meta-analysis suggests that pain sensitization is present in people with knee OA and may be associated with knee OA symptom severity.
