Review Meta AnalysisADMISSION CARDIAC TROPONINS PREDICT HOSPITAL MORTALITY IN TYPE A ACUTE AORTIC DISSECTION: A META-ANALYSIS OF ADJUSTED RISK ESTIMATES.
Acute aortic dissection (AAD) is a serious medical emergency that requires early diagnosis and rapid treatment. Whether cardiac troponin could be an independent prognostic marker in patients with type A AAD is still unknown. We systematically searched Medline and Scopus to identify all observational cohort studies published before January 2020 that compared outcome (in-hospital mortality) in patients with type A AAD with and without troponin elevation on admission. ⋯ A total of 124 (30%) patients died during in-hospital stay, and 73% underwent surgery. Elevated troponins (39.6% of patients) were associated with an increased risk of short-term mortality (adjusted odds ratio 1.26; 95% confidence interval 1.08-1.47), with low heterogeneity among studies (I2 =29.81%). Elevated troponins on admission are independently associated with increased in-hospital mortality in type A AAD.

Meta AnalysisINFERTILITY AND SEXUAL DYSFUNCTIONS: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW.
This study aimed to investigate whether infertility and its treatment affect couple sexuality. A systematic literature review was performed, focusing on female and male sexual dysfunctions due to infertility. The method was descriptive, using a meta-synthesis of scientific research published between 2012 and 2017 in the English language. ⋯ Couples report less satisfaction with sexuality. Since lower satisfaction and dysfunctions are closely connected with infertility and its treatment, couples might benefit from sexual therapy and support during the process of infertility treatment. Further research should focus on the evaluation of different psychological interventions that would address sexuality in couples when diagnosed and treated for infertility.

Meta AnalysisMeasuring Physical Activity in Pregnancy Using Questionnaires: A Meta-Analysis.
Physical activity (PA) during normal pregnancy has various positive effects on pregnant women’s health. Determination of the relationship between PA and health outcomes requires accurate measurement of PA in pregnant women. The purpose of this review is to provide a summary of valid and reliable PA questionnaires for pregnant women. ⋯ The best validity and reliability characteristics (together with effect sizes) were identified for the Modified Kaiser Physical Activity Survey and Pregnancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (French, Vietnamese, standard). In conclusion, assessment of PA during pregnancy remains a challenging and complex task. Questionnaires are a simple and effective, yet limited tool for assessing PA.
