The aim of the study was to perform mRNA-miRNA regulatory network analyses to identify a miRNA panel for molecular subtype identification and stratification of high-risk patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). ⋯ We report a novel miRNA risk-stratification signature that can be used as a noninvasive assay for the identification of high-risk patients and potential disease monitoring in patients with PDAC.

Pure Laparoscopic Versus Open Right Hepatectomy in Live Liver Donors: A Propensity Score-matched Analysis.
The aim of the study was to present the safety and feasibility of pure laparoscopic donor right hepatectomy (PLDRH) in comparison with those of conventional donor right hepatectomy. ⋯ PLDRH is feasible when performed at an experienced living donor liver transplantation center. Further studies on long-term recipient outcomes including biliary complications are needed to confirm the safety.

To perform the first systematic review of all available gender-affirming surgery (GAS) publications across all procedures to assess both outcomes reported in the literature and the methods used for outcome assessment. ⋯ This study represents the most comprehensive review of GAS literature. By aggregating all previously utilized measurement instruments, this study offers a foundation for discussions about current methodologic limitations and what dimensions must be included in assessing surgical success. We have assembled a comprehensive list of outcome instruments; this offers an ideal starting basis for emerging discussions between patients and providers about deficiencies which new, better instruments and metrics must address. The lack of consistent use of the same outcome measures and validated GAS-specific instruments represent the 2 primary barriers to high-quality research where improvement efforts should be focused.

The aim of this study was to analyze the incidence of and risk factors for adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) in adrenal incidentaloma (AI). ⋯ This contemporary analysis demonstrates that ACC risk per size in AI is less than previously reported. Given these findings, modern management of AIs should not be based just on size, but a combination of thorough hormonal evaluation and imaging characteristics.

To examine the clinical significance of LAP to predict survival outcomes and chemotherapeutic responsiveness in gastric cancer. ⋯ This study revealed that LAP could identify immunoevasive subtype gastric cancer, indicating LAP might be a potential immunotherapeutic target and facilitate patient counseling on individualized adjuvant therapy and follow-up scheduling in gastric cancer.
