Transient loss of consciousness (LOC) is one of the most common presentations of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and may be an indicator of early brain injury. In this study, we examined the association of LOC and functional outcomes in patients with good-grade SAH. ⋯ LOC at ictus of SAH is associated with a higher rate of unfavorable functional outcomes but not of mortality, DCI, or rebleed in patients with good-grade SAH. Future studies should further investigate the putative mechanisms through which LOC mediates early brain injury in SAH.

Unusual and Rare Locations for Craniopharyngiomas: Clinical Significance and Review of the Literature.
This study discusses rare and unusual locations of primary craniopharyngiomas. ⋯ Craniopharyngiomas are most often located in the suprasellar region. Presentation in sites outside the parasellar region is rare. Among these ectopic sites, the cerebellopontine angle appears to be the most common location.

A 65-year-old female presented with progressive unilateral vision loss leading to blindness and features of central diabetes insipidus (DI) for 3 months' duration. Imaging showed a well-circumscribed, lobulated, rim-enhancing suprasellar lesion with inhomogeneous diffusion restriction. ⋯ At 5 months' follow-up, she had improvement of her diabetes insipidus but no visual improvement. This paper presents a case of suprasellar epidermoid with atypical imaging findings.

Endoscopic Removal of Suprasellar Colloid Cyst with Interpedincular and Prepontine Cisterns Extension.
Colloid cysts (CCs) are rarely found in the sellar-suprasellar region. Differential diagnosis of CCs is more challenging in this region because many other cystic lesions may locate or invade sellar or suprasellar structures. We present a large and unusual case of sellar-suprasellar CC with extension into the suprasellar, interpeduncular, and prepontine cisterns. This is the first case of sellar-suprasellar CC treated with an endoscopic transsphenoidal approach. ⋯ Although rarely found in this location, CC should be considered in the differential diagnosis in patients who present with a sellar-suprasellar cystic lesion. Additionally, sellar-suprasellar CC would be a good candidate for the endoscopic endonasal approach.
