Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyEffects of Mobile Text Messaging on Glycemic Control in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease and Diabetes Mellitus: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Mobile health interventions may support risk factor management and are readily scalable in healthcare systems. We aim to evaluate the efficacy of a text messaging-based intervention to improve glycemic control in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus in China. ⋯ URL: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT02883842.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyEffect of Text Messaging on Risk Factor Management in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease: The CHAT Randomized Clinical Trial
Mobile health technologies are low cost, scalable interventions with the potential to promote patient engagement and behavior change. We aimed to test whether a culturally sensitive text messaging intervention supporting secondary prevention improves the control of risk factors in patients with coronary heart disease in China. ⋯ URL: https://clinicaltrials.gov . Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyCost-Effectiveness of Mitral Valve Repair Versus Replacement for Severe Ischemic Mitral Regurgitation: A Randomized Clinical Trial From the Cardiothoracic Surgical Trials Network
The CTSN (Cardiothoracic Surgical Trials Network) recently reported no difference in left ventricular end-systolic volume index or in survival at 2 years between patients with severe ischemic mitral regurgitation (MR) randomized to mitral valve repair or replacement. However, replacement provided more durable correction of MR and fewer cardiovascular readmissions. Yet, costeffectiveness outcomes have not been addressed. ⋯ URL: https://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyReturn to Work and Participation in Society After Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest.
The aim of this study was to describe out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survivors' ability to participate in activities of everyday life and society, including return to work. The specific aim was to evaluate potential effects of cognitive impairment. ⋯ URL: https://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT01946932.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyAssociation of Implementation of Practice Standards for Electrocardiographic Monitoring With Nurses' Knowledge, Quality of Care, and Patient Outcomes: Findings From the Practical Use of the Latest Standards of Electrocardiography (PULSE) Trial.
Although continuous electrocardiographic (ECG) monitoring is ubiquitous in hospitals, monitoring practices are inconsistent. We evaluated implementation of American Heart Association practice standards for ECG monitoring on nurses' knowledge, quality of care, and patient outcomes. ⋯ URL: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov. Unique identifier: NCT01269736.
