Clinical features of primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) overlap with those of fibromyalgia (FM). This cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of FM in pSS patients and to compare the clinical features of pSS patients with FM to those without FM. ⋯ Our study showed that FM was prevalent in pSS. FM was associated with higher ESSPRI and more severe depression.

To compare fibromyalgia (FM) core symptoms, FM impact severity and health status between the recently defined type A and type B of fibromyalgia. To compare disease impact and health status between FM patients and non-FM chronic pain control group. Finally, to compare health related quality of life and disease symptom severity by demographic background and widespread pain index (WPI). ⋯ Type B constitutes a minor but important component of FM that probably has a marked impact on the patient's perceived illness severity and quality of life. Further, WPI probably is the most important single indicator of disease severity and quality of life in FM.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Burden of illness in fibromyalgia patients with comorbid depression.
To assess the burden of fibromyalgia (FM) in patients with FM taking antidepressant medication for comorbid depression. ⋯ This study demonstrates the significant burden of FM in patients with comorbid depression treated with an antidepressant.

To investigate the reliability and validity of the Spanish version of the 2010 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Preliminary Diagnostic Criteria for Fibromyalgia (FM) in patients with chronic pain. ⋯ Our results indicate that the 2010 ACR Preliminary Diagnostic Criteria for FM may be useful to establish a diagnosis of FM in Spanish individuals with chronic pain.

To investigate the reliability and validity of the Spanish version of the Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool (FiRST), a brief questionnaire for the detection of fibromyalgia (FM) in patients with diffuse chronic pain seen at primary care health centres. ⋯ FiRST questionnaire is a useful tool for the detection of FM in primary care health centres.
