Review Meta Analysis
Cardiovascular risk factors and venous thromboembolism in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: A meta-analysis and systemic review.
Over the years, the literature dealt with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and atherosclerosis as two distinct pathologic processes but recently this theory has been challenged. This research aims to determine the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and VTE. This meta-analysis and systemic review included case-control and non-case-control studies. ⋯ Few studies reported dyslipidemia and smoking. In conclusion, old Old age, female gender, diabetes, obesity, and smoking are associated with increased risk of VTE with the highest risks seen with obesity and smoking. Additionally, female gender was the most prevalent risk factor among VTE patients.

Meta Analysis
Prevalence and trends of adult overweight and obesity in Nigeria - A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The prevalence of obesity and its attendant complications are on the increase globally-sub-Saharan Africa inclusive. Obesity confers an increased risk of coronary artery disease, type 2 diabetes, ischemic stroke, and some cancers. In Nigeria, several individual reports estimate an exponential increase in the prevalence of overweight and obesity. ⋯ The prevalence of obesity and overweight in Nigeria is high with a rising trend over the years. A Nigerian national health survey of non-communicable diseases especially the burden of overweight/obesity is recommended to through more light on the subject. There is need for concerted effort to tame the tide of rising obesity rates in Nigeria.

Meta Analysis
Performance of artificial intelligence using oral and maxillofacial CBCT images: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to enhance health care efficiency and diagnostic accuracy. ⋯ Some limitations are identified in our meta-analysis such as heterogenicity of studies, risk of bias and lack of ground truth. The application of AI for detection and segmentation using CBCT images is comparable to services offered by trained dentists and can potentially expedite and enhance the interpretive process. Implementing AI into clinical dentistry can analyze a large number of CBCT studies and flag the ones with significant findings, thus increasing efficiency. The study protocol was registered in PROSPERO, the international registry for systematic reviews (ID number CRD42021285095).

Meta Analysis
Salivary flow rate, pH, and buffer capacity in the individuals with obesity and overweight; A meta-analysis.
Weight in individuals can affect the saliva structure, which has an essential role in caries prevention. ⋯ SFR significantly decreases in individuals with OB, notably when saliva is stimulated. Besides, the decrease in SFR is much more prominent in adolescence and adulthood than in childhood. Furthermore, the increase in the severity of OB causes a much greater decrease in SFR. However, regarding SpH and SBC, no significant association exists.

Evidence-based information should be provided to clinicians to explain the effectiveness of hydrophilic and hydrophobic forms of resin based sealants (RBSs). ⋯ There was no statistically significant difference in retention and the cariostatic impact was found between hydrophilic and hydrophobic RBSs.
