The paper uses the convolutional neural network algorithm in the deep learning algorithm to explore the therapeutic effect of surgical treatment of hyperextension injuries associated with ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament of the cervical spine. ⋯ Convolutional neural network algorithm in the deep learning algorithm based on the cervical spine posterior longitudinal ligament ossification hyperextension injury was significantly improved after surgery. The less preoperative neurological damage, the postoperative neurological function, the degree of improvement, there was no significant correlation between the degree of spinal stenosis and the improvement of postoperative spinal cord function. For patients with ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament, if there are neurological symptoms, early surgical treatment is recommended to relieve the compression, so as to prevent irreversible neurological damage caused by trauma.

To investigate the correlation between echocardiographic indicators and the expression level of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in premature infants (PIs) with patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and the value of NT-proBNP in diagnosing symptomatic PDA (sPDA) in PIs whose gestational age (GA) was less than 32 weeks. ⋯ The combination of serum NT-proBNP expression and echocardiography had clinical values in early diagnosis of PDA.

Use of optimal Atlas segmentation algorithm to study the imaging signs of mycoplasma pneumonia with multi-slice spiral CT (HRCT), and to explore the value of HRCT in the diagnosis and efficacy in evaluation of mycoplasma pneumonia in children. ⋯ CT can clearly show the pulmonary lesions of mycoplasma pneumonia, and its unique imaging signs can improve the clinical diagnosis accuracy. In addition, CT scans can evaluate the treatment effect according to the changes in the characteristics of the lesion, which has important value for the evaluation of the effect for clinical diagnosis and efficacy evaluation of mycoplasma pneumonia.

To determine the incidence of anatomical variants of sinonasal region and its correlation with symptoms of sinusitis. ⋯ The anatomy of sinonasal region is highly complex. However, anatomical variants can disturb the sinus mucociliary drainage pathway resulting in patient suffering. Therefore, considering the variable anatomy of sinonasal region, CT-PNS is recommended for every subject in order to avoid surgical hazards.

To conduct an on line Flipped Class Room (FCR) to facilitate synchronous (in class activity) and asynchronous learning [Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)] and acquire feedback of the learning experience from medical students at Aga Khan University. ⋯ The innovative model of FCR through facilitation of synchronous and asynchronous learning empowered student's engagement and interactive learning. Students perceived this as a great learning experience which they enjoyed with positive reinforcement from feedback given by the facilitators. They suggested continuation of this model for further learning sessions in other modules of undergraduate medical education at Aga Khan University.
