To find out medical students' perceptions and attitudes toward medical leadership and management (MLM). ⋯ Many students were well aware of the MLM concepts. However, students agreed that management/leadership skills are important for clinicians, and there should be more leadership training in medical schools.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, has progressed to a pandemic associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Little is known about the healthcare workers who died fighting the disease in China. This paper analyzed the data of 78 Chinese healthcare workers who died in the fight against COVID-19 between 23 January and 2 June, 2020, and revealed the following characteristics. ⋯ Third, although more women than men were involved in fighting the pandemic, more men died. Fourth, more healthcare workers died in Hubei than in other provinces. Fifth, most of the healthcare workers who died directly from COVID-19 were non-professionals.

The paper uses ultrasound Doppler fetal heart rate detection algorithm to explore the placental characteristics of monochorionic twin pregnancy with selective fetal growth restriction, and discuss the correlation between selective fetal growth restriction and cord blood SFass FasL level. ⋯ Uneven placental share and non-central attachment of the umbilical cord may be risk factors for selective fetal growth restriction in monochorionic twin pregnancy.

This study was conducted to evaluate the diagnostic value of platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in vaginitis patients. ⋯ The present study demonstrated that NLR levels are elevated in bacterial vaginosis and NLR levels can be used as a reflection of systemic inflammatory response in vaginosis patients.

To compare the short-term outcomes of three dimensional (3D) versus two dimensional (2D) laparoscopic procedures used for cholecystectomy. ⋯ Three dimensional was found to have low incidence of intra-operative and post-operative complications compared to 2D laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
