To describe presentations, comorbidities, investigations, and surgical treatment of patients with mucormycosis amid the COVID-19 pandemic in a tertiary care hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. ⋯ Mucormycosis of paranasal sinuses with/or without intracranial extension is frequently seen in unvaccinated patients having uncontrolled diabetes and COVID-19 infection.

Urolithiasis is prevalent globally. Over time, innovation in endoscopic instruments and miniaturization has untangled the interventional strategy for carrying out remedial surgical procedures for renal stones. However, studies have been scarce as for sequelae of Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in varying body mass index group patients in the developing world. We aimed to report success rates and complications in different BMI groups. ⋯ PCNL can be ventured with safety and in an effectual manner for attaining stone treatment goals alike in obese and non-obese group patients.

To measure acetabular parameters and to compare parameters of acetabulum between men and women, and right and left sides. ⋯ The acetabular parameters were insignificantly different in gender and between right and left sides, although mean values were within normal range. The larger ADR ratio in men was most likely due to increased body weight in them as compared to women.

To analyze the effects of compound dextran combined with atorvastatin calcium on blood flow indexes, peroxidase 2 (Prx2) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in patients with cerebral vasospasm (CVS) caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). ⋯ Compound dextran combined with atorvastatin calcium can effectively enhance clinical efficacy, improve cerebral blood flow and reduce serum Prx2 and ET-1 levels in patients with CVS caused by SAH.
