The present study aimed to assess the thyroid outcomes six-months after radioactive Iodine-131 therapy (RIT) among hyperthyroid patients and identify the factors associated with them. ⋯ Radioactive iodine (131-I) therapy is effective for the treatment of hyperthyroidism. However, the appropriate dose is still debatable, as there was a high incidence of hypothyroidism post-therapy.

To explore the Shunt rate of ductus arteriosus (DA) and ductus venosus (DV) in middle and late fetuses and their application value in the evaluation of fetal growth restriction (FGR). ⋯ The DV shunt rate in middle- and late-stage fetuses can predict the fetal birth outcome, and the higher the shunt ratio, the worse the birth outcome of FGR fetuses.

This laboratory study determined the surface, mechanical and chemical properties of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture resin reinforced with micron-sized Gum Arabic (GA) powder in different weight ratios. ⋯ The incorporation of GA powder in denture resin might not be a viable option. The surface and mechanical properties of experimental PMMA composites were adversely affected compared to the control group.

This study evaluated and compared the perceptions, awareness, and experiences of telemedicine among university students in Riyadh. ⋯ Most participants perceived that telemedicine could save patients' time and improve access to healthcare. The low agreement, especially of medical students, for the ability of physicians to evaluate clinical features and of patients to communicate illnesses effectively possibly represented suboptimal education of telemedicine in medical curricula. Thus, incorporating telemedicine into medical curricula and improving public awareness might expedite telemedicine implementation.
