To compare the success rates and safety of two-doses of methotrexate versus single dose of methotrexate in ectopic tubal pregnancy. ⋯ Although, β -hCG resolution time was significantly low in two-dose protocol but single-dose methotrexate offered comparable success rates versus two-dose protocol. Side effects were mild and comparable in both methotrexate treatment protocols. Methotrexate was found to be effective in the medical management of ectopic pregnancy.

To assess appropriate antibiotics use in neonatal sepsis and to highlight the need for developing an Antibiotic stewardship program at local levels. ⋯ Due to poor availability of latest data about local antibacterial resistance pattern and lack of knowledge among pediatricians about latest antibiotic prescribing protocols, many inconsistencies were noted in the use of antibiotics in neonatal sepsis which resulted in a poor outcome hence, reflecting in international key health indicators (neonatal mortality rate) of country. Concerning the change in the resistance pattern of microorganisms to antimicrobials, it is high time to collect local data about antibacterial susceptibility and develop an antibiotic stewardship program to stop inappropriate use of antibiotics.

Eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are psychiatric and public health issues that are prevalent among medical students, especially females. This study's objective was to examine the epidemiology of eating disorders, specifically their associated risk factors, such as body mass index (BMI), gender, academic year of studies, and socio-demographic factors among medical students at King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Eating disorders are common among medical students. The strongest predictors of eating disorders among the study group were female gender in the pre-clinical stage and being overweight or obese. This study highlights an underrated health problem among Saudi medical students. The implementation of eating disorders preventive program during medical schools that target females may be helpful. Further research is needed to address the best preventive and treatment strategies for EDs among medical students.

To investigate the clinical effects of TP-based hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) on the levels of antigen cluster protein 133 (CD133) and human epididymal secretory protein 4 (HE4) in patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). ⋯ TP-based HIPEC can effectively inhibit CD133 and HE4 expression in advanced EOC, which thereby improves the clinical efficacy and encourages longer survival.
