Problematic cell phone use is common among young age groups which include university students, and may be accompanied by social anxiety and eating disorders. We aimed to examine the relationship between problematic cell phone use, social anxiety and eating disorders among university students. ⋯ University students demonstrate high rates of problematic cell phone use; in addition, individuals who use cell phones for increased hours or for certain purposes display higher total scores on the Problematic Mobile Phone Use Scale. Students should be educated on limiting problematic cell phone use.

This research aims to identify the effects of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms on the school exam scores in medical students. ⋯ Some of the PMS symptoms can be more annoying and should change the quality of life more than the other symptoms, so we should define these symptoms to improve our student's quality of life and school success.

The study aimed to investigate the effect of Ramadan Fasting on Patients with Chronic Diseases and their experience during fasting. ⋯ Many people with chronic diseases fast and experience symptoms while fasting. Being woman and not waking up for sahur was related with the symptoms during Ramadan fasting. Most participants with NIDs fasted during Ramadan without consulting their doctors.

To investigate the value of dynamic monitoring of serum procalcitonin (PCT) in anti-infective therapy of patients with acute stroke. ⋯ Dynamic detection of serum PCT concentration can make accurate judgment on the severity of bacterial infection in patients with acute stroke and guide the rational application of antibiotics.

To assess the effect of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and/or stress urinary incontinence (SUI) on various domains of female sexual functions in patients before and after reconstructive surgery for these pelvic floor disorders. ⋯ This study reveals that women sexual functions are affected by POP and SUI and improve remarkably after reconstructive surgeries for these pelvic floor disorders.
