Childhood anaphylaxis presents with a heterogeneous clinic. Elicitors and epidemiologic factors associated with anaphylaxis differ with age, geographic location and lifestyle. This study aimed to determine the clinical features and age-specific patterns of childhood anaphylaxis in a single referral center in Turkey. ⋯ Findings reveal that children diagnosed with anaphylaxis differ in terms of etiological and clinical findings according to age groups. This difference shows the dynamically changing clinic of anaphylaxis over time and the importance of evaluating childhood anaphylaxis according to age groups.

In this study, we aimed to investigate different types of celiac antibodies in psoriasis patients and to see if the presenceof the antibodies was associated with other variables. ⋯ There was no increase in the AGA-IgA/IgG and tTG-IgA/IgG levels in psoriasis patients compared to the healthy population. However, hypertensive psoriasis patients had higher AGA-IgA levels compared to normotensive ones.

: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the presence, size, or type of calcaneal spurs on pain or the outcomes of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) therapy in patients with plantar fasciitis. ⋯ The presence and size of calcaneal spurs are associated with pain. However, it should be kept in mind that a high rate of spurs can also be found in painless feet, so spur is not the only factor that causes pain. Patients with a spur size of ≤5 mm or a vertical spur have less pain relief with ESWT.

: Rotator cuff rupture (RCR) and glenohumeral osteoarthritis (GHO) are two common disorders of the shoulder joint. However, there are very few reports that examine the relationship between them. This study aimed to present at least two years' clinical results of arthroscopic rotator cuff repair of full-thickness and massive tears accompanied by arthroscopically detected early-stage osteoarthritis. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge, this is one of the first arthroscopic comparative studies about the effect of early glenohumeral osteoarthritis on clinical outcomes after rotator cuff tear treatment. Finding good and excellent results up to 71% after RCR repair in patients with early-stage osteoarthritis was an indication that arthroscopic repair could be planned as the first-line treatment option for RCR pathologies in patients with early-stage degenerative arthritis without considering the rerupture rate.

Meta Analysis
Characteristics of diabetes mellitus patients in Turkey: An analysis of national electronic health records.
It was estimated that there were 537 million people with diabetes mellitus in 2021, representing 10.5% of the global adult population. Diabetes prevalence in Turkey is 13.5%, according to a meta-analysis and 17.3% according to a recent study. Although the primary purpose of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) is clinical, researchers can use them to conduct epidemiologic investigations. This study aims to document the prevalence of diabetes and to evaluate the healthcare utilization of people with diabetes compared to the people without diabetes, based on national EHR. ⋯ Approximately 11% of Turkish people have diagnosed with diabetes. We estimate that about one-third of people with diabetes are undiagnosed and the majority of these people are men. The results show that such large databases have the capability of supplying a vast amount of information to the scientific community.
