Multicenter StudySafety, efficacy and changing trends in endoscopic ablation for dysplastic Barrett's esophagus in Poland: a long-term multicenter retrospective analysis.
Endoscopic ablation is the mainstay of treatment for dysplastic Barrett esophagus (BE), of which radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and argon plasma coagulation (APC) are the most widely available options. ⋯ Endoscopic ablation for BE is safely and effectively provided in Poland at a few expert centers. Patients with diabetes and long‑segment BE are at an increased risk for treatment failure.

Multicenter StudyTreatment with Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir of the most difficult to cure HCV-infected population.
Pangenotypic therapies for infections with hepatitis C virus (HCV), although universal and highly effective, entail a risk of treatment failure. ⋯ In a large population of SOF/VEL‑treated HCV‑infected patients, we showed relatively low effectiveness of the regimen in treatment‑experienced men with cirrhosis and obesity, infected with GT3. Triple therapy should be considered when initiating the treatment of HCV infections in this group, which, however, needs to be confirmed in further studies. Previous studies were conducted in less demanding populations, because they did not take into account sex and BMI, which significantly affect the treatment effectiveness.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyDeep dive into achieving the therapeutic target: results from a prospective, 6-month, observational study nested in routine rheumatoid arthritis care.
Achieving remission or lowdisease activity (LDA) is an integral principle of treat‑to‑target (T2T) strategy in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Prior studies have reported that achieving T2T therapeutic goals may be realistic only for a fraction of patients. Prospective, real‑world data on achieving target disease control in ambulatory care populations are limited for Central and Eastern European countries. ⋯ A combination of clinical characteristics and provider treatment decisions shapes the "profile" of a patient failing to achieve T2T goals. Low‑dose steroid equivalent, never smoking, and lower body mass index appear as individual characteristics independently associated with achieving LDA / remission at 3 and 6 months.

Multicenter StudyEfficacy and safety of antazoline for cardioversion of atrial fibrillation: propensity score matching analysis of multicenter registry (CANT II Study).
Due to safety concerns about available antiarrhythmic drugs (AADs), reliable agents for termination of atrial fibrillation (AF) are requisite. ⋯ Antazoline appears to be an efficacious agent for termination of AF in real‑world setting. Randomized controlled trials are required to evaluate its safety in specific patient populations.
