Rheumatoid meningitis (RM) is a rare complication of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RM mimics many other conditions such as subdural empyema, unsteady gait, focal brain dysfunction, stroke, relapsing-remitting motor signs, headache, neuropsychiatric disorders, seizures, parkinsonism, and meningeal tumors. RM is considered a disease with poor prognosis. ⋯ She worsened and required endotracheal intubation. Cyclophosphamide was started and the patient became asymptomatic three months later. We propose that treatment should not be delayed waiting a biopsy when a diagnosis of RM is made and after a cerebrospinal fluid infection has been ruled out.

[Association of hyperglycemia with the length of stay in hospitalized patients].
Hyperglycemia during hospital stay is associated with adverse outcomes. ⋯ Hyperglycemia during hospitalization affects more than half of hospitalized patients and is associated with a longer length of stay.

Results of the ACTION-IO survey in Chilean patients with obesity and health care providers.
Most of the Chilean population has overweight or obesity. The ACTION-IO survey identified the perceptions, attitudes, and barriers to effective obesity care in people with obesity (PwO) and healthcare professionals (HCPs). ⋯ Chilean data reveal misconceptions among PwO and HCPs about obesity and highlights the need to improve education about its biologic background and clinical management.

[Relationship between occupational commitment and teaching practices among healthcare teachers].
A central aspect of professional identity is occupational commitment, which has a significant relationship with motivation and positive mental states in healthcare environments. However, it is not clear how occupational commitment is related to teaching practices in universities. ⋯ OCQ showed an adequate internal consistency, and it was directly related with teaching practices. Committed teachers had better teaching practices. This confirms the importance of teachers' values and perceptions on their professional performance.

[Strategies to advance recovery (STAR) protocol implemented colorectal cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic].
SARS-CoV-2 hampered the resolution of multiple diseases, including cancer. ⋯ The STAR protocol reduces the length of hospital stay. In a pandemic context such as COVID-19 it becomes a useful resource and can be implemented in cancer patients, as herein reported.
