Case ReportsThe First Case of a Korean Patient with a Mutation-Confirmed Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor-Associated Periodic Syndrome.
Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS, OMIM: #142680) is a rare autoinflammatory disease (AID) with recurrent febrile episodes. To our knowledge, we report herein the first case of a patient with TRAPS in South Korea whose symptoms included fever, arthralgia, abdominal pain, rash, myalgia, cough, and lymphadenopathy. A pathogenic de novo mutation, c.175T>C (p. ⋯ The patient has been with tocilizumab (an interleukin-6 inhibitor); tocilizumab administration every other week has completely alleviated the patient's symptoms. Our report further expands the clinical spectrum of patients with TRAPS and reaffirms the use of tocilizumab as a viable alternative treatment option for those patients who are unsatisfactorily responsive to other commonly used biologics, such as canakinumab, anakinra, infliximab, and etanercept. Furthermore, our report may aid in increasing awareness about the existence of mutation-confirmed TRAPS in South Korea in addition to emphasizing the importance of actively pursuing genetic testing to correctly diagnose rare AID.

Application of Data Mining Technology in the Screening for Gallbladder Stones: A Cross-Sectional Retrospective Study of Chinese Adults.
The purpose of this study was to use data mining methods to establish a simple and reliable predictive model based on the risk factors related to gallbladder stones (GS) to assist in their diagnosis and reduce medical costs. ⋯ The results of this study showed that MLP and J48 algorithms are effective at screening individuals for the risk of GS. The key attributes of data mining can further promote the prevention of GS through targeted community intervention, improve the outcome of GS, and reduce the burden on the medical system.

Comparative Study Clinical TrialThe Revo-i Robotic Surgical System in Advanced Pancreatic Surgery: A Second Non-Randomized Clinical Trial and Comparative Analysis to the da Vinci™ System.
Numerous robot-assisted pancreatic surgery are being performed worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and safety of the Revo-i robot system (Meerecompany, Seoul, Republic of Korea) for advanced pancreatic surgery, and also compare this new system with the existing da Vinci™ robot system (Intuitive Surgical, Sunnyvale, CA, USA) in the context of robot-assisted pancreaticoduodenectomy (RPD). ⋯ In this single-arm prospective study with short-term follow-up at a single institution, the Revo-i robotic surgical system was safe and effective for advanced pancreatic surgery. Revo-i RPD is comparable to the da Vinci™ RPD and is expected to have wide clinical application.

Computed Tomography Radiomics for Preoperative Prediction of Spread Through Air Spaces in the Early Stage of Surgically Resected Lung Adenocarcinomas.
To assess the added value of radiomics models from preoperative chest CT in predicting the presence of spread through air spaces (STAS) in the early stage of surgically resected lung adenocarcinomas using multiple validation datasets. ⋯ A quantitative CT radiomics model can assist in the non-invasive prediction of the presence of STAS in the early stage of lung adenocarcinomas.
