Ileocolonoscopy is currently recognized as the gold standard for evaluating mucosal healing in patients with Crohn disease (CD). However, the ideal noninvasive marker to assess mucosal healing instead of invasive ileocolonoscopy is not available. This study aimed to determine the correlations between the mucosal healing and serological optimizing markers in CD. ⋯ Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of CRP/ALB (0.87) was higher than NLR (0.69), PLR (0.72), and PLT/ALB (0.81). In the efficacy of assessing the mucosal healing in CD, the sensitivity of CRP/ALB, NLR, PLR, and PLT/ALB were 91.1%, 83.9%, 73.2%, and 73.2%, respectively, and the specificity was 76.5%, 46.9%, 64.2%, and 75.3%, respectively. CRP/ALB was the most appropriate marker to assess CD mucosal healing among the serological optimizing markers.

Relationships between serum omentin-1 concentration, body composition and physical activity levels in older women.
This study aimed to investigate the relationships between omentin-1, body composition and physical activity (PA) levels in older women. Eighty-one older women (age = 64 ± 6years; body mass index = 24.2 ± 3.2 kg/m2; body fat percentage = 36.1 ± 5.7%) participated in this study. We divided the subjects into overweight/obesity and normal weight group. ⋯ We found that total body FM was inversely related to serum omentin-1 concentration and PA levels, but there was no correlation between omentin-1 and PA levels. These results showed that PA may participate in the regulation of body composition, which may be also affected by serum omentin-1. However, the mechanism by which PA affects body composition may not be through omentin-1 and was more likely through other metabolic pathways.

A 10-year observational single-center study of retroperitoneal unicentric Castleman disease.
Diagnosis of unicentric Castleman disease (UCD) is not easy before the resection and obtainment of pathological result. We retrospectively summarized 10-year experience of clinical evaluation and management for retroperitoneal UCD in Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) between December 1, 2009 and December 31, 2019. Seventy two UCD patients with pathological diagnosis after resection were screened out. ⋯ Differential diagnosis with pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas should be taken into special consideration. Different imaging examinations, such as CT/MRI, 18F-PET/CT, somatostatin receptor imaging and 131I-MIBG, can be combined for differential analysis. Complete resection is the best treatment and could provide a final pathological diagnosis.

Short-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients with a chronic pain disorder.
The current Covid-19 pandemic has already had a definite impact on the daily life of many people worldwide. It has been proposed that people with preexisting medical conditions will be harder hit by the pandemic and the subsequent measures to contain the spread of the disease. In this questionnaire-based, observational study, we aimed to assess the impact of the pandemic on patients with a chronic pain disorder, who are treated at a tertiary multidisciplinary pain center. ⋯ The more robust parameters of the regular follow-up questionnaire showed no relevant changes compared to data collected before the pandemic. We were not able to detect any demographic and medical parameters that were clinically relevantly associated with a higher impact of the pandemic. We conclude that a chronic pain disorder is a relatively stable disease that does not change significantly due to external factors, like the Covid-19 pandemic, even if the subjective impact is perceived to be high.

Pituitary tumor apoplexy associated with extrapontine myelinolysis during pregnancy: A case report.
Pituitary tumor apoplexy (PTA) is a rare clinical syndrome which requires urgent diagnosis and treatment due to its life-threatening consequences. Management of undiagnosed pituitary tumor before pregnancy is a problem during pregnancy. ⋯ We reported a case as PTA associated with EPM. Headache during pregnancy is often nonspecific, so careful medical history inquiry is very important.
