Prophylactic tranexamic acid in Cesarean delivery: an updated meta-analysis with a trial sequential analysis.
Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is a leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide. Although several studies on the prophylactic use of tranexamic acid (TXA) in parturients undergoing Cesarean delivery have been published, conflicting results raise questions regarding its use. Thus, we aimed to investigate the safety and efficacy of PPH prophylaxis with TXA. ⋯ PROSPERO (CRD42023422188); first submitted 27 April 2023.

We sought to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to determine whether indirect laryngoscopy has an advantage over direct laryngoscopy in terms of the tracheal intubation rate, glottic visualization, and intubation time when used by novice operators. ⋯ PROSPERO (CRD42022309045); first registered 4 September 2022.

Preoperative anemia and anemia treatment in cardiac surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
We aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the effects of anemia and anemia severity on patient outcomes in cardiac surgery and determine whether preoperative treatments confer postoperative benefit. ⋯ PROSPERO (CRD42022319431); first submitted 17 April 2023.

Review Meta Analysis
Landiolol for the prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is a common complication following cardiac surgery. Although the evidence suggests that beta blockers prevent POAF, they often cause hypotension. Landiolol, an ultra-short-acting β1 blocker, may prevent POAF, without adverse hemodynamic consequences. ⋯ PROSPERO (CRD42021262703); registered 25 July 2021.

The perioperative use of inhaled prostacyclins in cardiac surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Perioperative pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an independent risk factor for morbidity and mortality in cardiac surgery. While inhaled prostacyclins (iPGI2s) are an established treatment of chronic PH, data on the efficacy of iPGI2s in perioperative PH are scarce. ⋯ PROSPERO (CRD42021237991); registered 26 May 2021.
