Multicenter StudyMortality, complication, and fusion rates of patients with odontoid fracture: the impact of age and comorbidities in 204 cases.
The French Society of Spine Surgery (SFCR) conducted a prospective epidemiologic multicenter study. The purpose was to investigate mortality, complication, and fusion rates in patients with odontoid fracture, depending on age, comorbidities, fracture type, and treatment. ⋯ Age and comorbidities influenced mortality and medical complication rates most regardless of fracture type and treatment choice. Pseudarthrosis represented the main complication, which increased with age. Pseudarthrosis was most frequent in type II and oblique-posterior fractures after conservative treatment.

Multicenter StudyEvaluation of severe and fatal injuries in extreme and contact sports: an international multicenter analysis.
The participation in extreme and contact sports has grown internationally, despite the significant risk for major and multiple injuries. We conducted this multicenter study to evaluate sport-specific injury patterns and mechanisms, to characterize individuals at risk and to identify possible approaches for prevention. ⋯ Descriptive Epidemiologic Study, Level II.

Multicenter StudyNon-prosthetic peri-implant fractures: classification, management and outcomes.
Non-prosthetic peri-implant fractures (NPPIFs) are an under-reported entity. Management is challenging because of alterations in anatomy, the presence of orthopaedic implants and phenomena such as stress shielding, disuse osteopenia and fracture remodeling. The aims of this paper were to review patterns of injury, management and outcomes and to propose a classification system to aid further research. ⋯ Therapeutic Level IV-case series.

Multicenter StudyAsymptomatic population reference values for three knee patient-reported outcomes measures: evaluation of an electronic data collection system and implications for future international, multi-centre cohort studies.
The aim was to assess whether the Knee Society Score, Oxford Knee Score (OKS) and Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) were comparable in asymptomatic, healthy, individuals of different age, gender and ethnicity, across two remote continents. The purpose of this study was to establish normal population values for these scores using an electronic data collection system. ⋯ Diagnostic Level II.

Multicenter StudyPlate fixation of the proximal humerus: an international multicentre comparative study of postoperative complications.
The primary aim was to evaluate the number of complications following locking plate fixation of proximal humeral fractures in country X and in country Y. The secondary aim was to identify risk factors for complications. ⋯ IV.
