Paediatric and adolescent Hodgkin lymphoma: information derived from diffuse organ uptake of 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose on pre-treatment and on interim PET/CT.
To evaluate, in children with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), the frequency and intensity of visually diffuse FDG uptake by selected organs at baseline (bPET) and on interim PET/CT (iPET), and to evaluate the relation between FDG uptake, metabolic response and evolution of the disease with treatment. ⋯ Diffuse and intense FDG uptake by organs is frequent in children with HL on bPET. On iPET, it is frequently reduced in all sites except the liver, which may pose problems for visual quotation of the FDG intensity of HL foci. The variation of SUVmax between bPET and iPET permitted us to achieve a prediction of refractory or relapsing HL that was at least as effective as using criteria based on FDG uptake by the HL lesions. The results of this retrospective pilot study need further validation.

PET/CT with (18)F-choline after radical prostatectomy in patients with PSA ≤2 ng/ml. Can PSA velocity and PSA doubling time help in patient selection?
To investigate the performance of (18)F-fluorocholine ((18)F-FCH) PET/CT in relation to the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) kinetic indexes, PSA doubling time (PSAdt) and PSA velocity (PSAve), in detecting recurrent prostate cancer (PC) in a selected population of patients treated with radical prostatectomy and with PSA ≤2 ng/ml. ⋯ The results of our study suggest that (18)F-FCH PET/CT could be considered for the evaluation of patients with biochemical recurrence of PC and with low PSA levels. Fast PSA kinetics could be useful in the selection of these patients.

Imaging characteristic of dual-phase (18)F-florbetapir (AV-45/Amyvid) PET for the concomitant detection of perfusion deficits and beta-amyloid deposition in Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment.
We investigated dual-phase (18)F-florbetapir (AV-45/Amyvid) PET imaging for the concomitant detection of brain perfusion deficits and beta-amyloid deposition in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and amnestic mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and in cognitively healthy controls (HCs). ⋯ Our results indicate that brain perfusion deficits and beta-amyloid deposition in AD follow different trajectories that can be successfully traced using dual-phase (18)F-AV-45 PET imaging.

(68)Ga-PSMA-11 dynamic PET/CT imaging in biochemical relapse of prostate cancer.
We aim to investigate the pharmacokinetics and distribution of the recently clinically introduced radioligand (68)Ga-PSMA-11 in men with recurrent prostate cancer (PC) by means of dynamic and whole-body PET/CT. The correlation between PSA levels and (68)Ga-PSMA-11 PET parameters is also investigated. ⋯ Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT demonstrated an overall detection rate of 71.0 % 60 min p.i. of the radiotracer in a mixed patient population with respect to PSA levels and including patients with very low PSA values. Higher PSA values were associated with a higher detection rate. The tracer uptake in PC-recurrence-indicative lesions is increasing during the 60 minutes of dynamic PET acquisition.
