Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are eating disorders associated with life-threatening multisystemic medical complications. This narrative review aimed to present the medical complications most related to these disorders. ⋯ Thus, an early identification and therapeutic intervention of these disorders is considered crucial. Integral medical monitoring should be ensured to prevent potential serious complications from the early stages, with the involvement of physicians, psychologists, nutritionists, and other specialists in a multidisciplinary approach according to the patient's needs.

Studies addressing the prevalence of cardiac amyloidosis (CA) among patients with spinal stenosis (SS) are lacking. The identification of the red flags (RF) of CA could lead to early detection of cases of CA. The primary objective of this study was to address the prevalence of RF of CA among patients with SS. ⋯ The prevalence of RF of CA is high among patients with SS and YLH. A high proportion of patients met the CA suspicion criteria.

Effectiveness of urea administration for the treatment of hyponatremia in heart failure.
To assess the efficacy and safety of urea in patients with hyponatremia and heart failure (HF). ⋯ Oral urea treatment, when added to standard treatment for short periods of time, is safe and effective in correcting natremia in patients with hypervolemic HF with hyponatremia.
