Polycystic ovary syndrome and abdominal fat: is there a relationship?
The aim of this study was to compare the distribution of fat tissue in non-obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome and those without the syndrome using dual-energy radiological densitometry. ⋯ Our study showed that non-obese polycystic ovary syndrome patients have a higher concentration of abdominal fat, which is a risk factor for increased cardiovascular risk and insulin resistance.ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT02467751.

Observational StudyInvestigation of the effectiveness of teledermatology in the diagnosis of skin lesions in pediatric patients.
Teledermatology is the use of communications technology to enable the remote evaluation of skin lesions. Dermatological complaints are common among pediatric patients and should be handled differently than adults. The aim of this study is to group the dermatological lesions of pediatric patients who visited a dermatology outpatient clinic and to investigate in which groups the teledermatology method is more effective. ⋯ Teledermatology is a reliable diagnostic method that shortens the waiting time of patients and provides a quick consultation with a dermatologist. When using the teledermatology method, it is important to know which skin lesions or disease groups are more accurately diagnosed.

Evaluation of patients via colonoscopy who underwent positron emission tomography/computerized tomography due to colon involvement.
Fluorodeoxyglucose is not a tumor-specific agent and it can also be involved in benign conditions, which may cause diagnostic confusion. This research aims to elucidate the colonoscopic findings of patients who underwent colonoscopy due to colon involvement in positron emission tomography/computerized tomography. ⋯ Fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography can detect unexpected distant metastases with high sensitivity because it allows whole-body imaging. Curative resection significantly contributes to the choice of treatment modality in the pre-operative period of colorectal cancer patients with planned surgery.

Determination of the relationship between self-care agency and sleepiness in chronic hemodialysis patients.
This study was conducted to determine the relationship between self-care agency and sleepiness in chronic hemodialysis patients. ⋯ As a result, it was observed that there was no relationship between self-care agency and sleepiness in chronic hemodialysis patients. We think that working with a larger sample group can lead to clearer results.

Effects of closed and open kinetic chain exercises on pain, muscle strength, function, and quality of life in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
Therapeutic exercises are well documented for the treatment of osteoarthritis; there is less evidence on what the effect of closed kinetic chain exercises is for knee osteoarthritis. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of open kinetic chain exercises and closed kinetic chain exercises on pain, muscle strength, functional status, and quality of life in patients with knee osteoarthritis. ⋯ The changes in all outcome measures were similar between closed kinetic chain exercises and open kinetic chain exercises (p>0.05). Closed kinetic chain exercises and open kinetic chain exercises were similar for knee osteoarthritis grade I and II. Closed kinetic chain exercises could be safely added to the exercise programs of patients with low-grade knee osteoarthritis.
