Randomized Controlled TrialProtocol on transcranial alternating current stimulation for the treatment of major depressive disorder: a randomized controlled trial.
Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) offers a new approach for adult patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). The study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tACS treating MDD. ⋯ The tACS applied in this trial may have treatment effects on MDD with minimal side effects.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of keto acid supplements on Chinese patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis: a prospective, randomized, controlled, single-center clinical study.
The effects of keto acid (KA) supplements on Chinese patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) are unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of KA supplementation on nutritional status, inflammatory markers, and bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) parameters in a cohort of Chinese patients with MHD without malnutrition. ⋯ In this cohort of Chinese patients with MHD, the patients in the control group whose dietary protein intake was 0.9 g/kg/day and total energy intake was 28 kcal/kg/day, maintained well nutritional status during study period. The KA supplement (0.1 g/kg/day) did not improve the essential amino acid/non-essential amino acid ratio, nor did it change the patients' mineral metabolism, inflammatory parameters, or body compositions.

Randomized Controlled TrialOptimal strategy of switching from clopidogrel to ticagrelor in Chinese acute coronary syndrome patients with complicated coronary artery disease: the switching from clopidogrel to ticagrelor (SHIFT-CACS) study.
The dose and time point for switching from clopidogrel to ticagrelor remain controversial, especially for Chinese acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients with complicated coronary artery disease (CAD). Hence, the purpose of this study was to further explore the optimal dose and time point for the switching strategy to balance the increase in platelet inhibition and the decrease in adverse events in Chinese ACS patients with complicated CAD managed by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). ⋯ The optimal treatment strategy recommended in this study for Chinese ACS patients with complicated CAD managed by PCI is 180 or 90 mg of ticagrelor at 24 h after the last dose of clopidogrel. In addition, a negative interaction was detected in this study between the overlap for clopidogrel and ticagrelor at 12 h after the last dose of clopidogrel.

Randomized Controlled TrialTrimetazidine in angina and poor muscle function: protocol for a randomized controlled study.
Low handgrip strength (HS) and declining gait speed (GS) are increasingly obvious with aging, requiring effective, and safe medication for treatment. Trimetazidine (TMZ) modified release tablets, a common anti-angina drug, has potential benefits for alleviating the condition, but this has not yet been fully studied and therefore is the aim of this study. ⋯ This study aims to evaluate the usefulness of TMZ in a population with poor muscle function. The results may provide an effective and safe medical treatment to people with low muscle strength or physical performance.
