Multicenter StudyReal world clinical performance of the zotarolimus eluting coronary stent system in Chinese patients: a prospective, multicenter registry study.
Early clinical trials with the Endeavor zotarolimus eluting stent (ZES) in western populations demonstrated low rates of target lesion revascularization with a favorable safety profile including low late stent thrombosis with up to 5 years of follow-up. The aim of this clinical registry study was to evaluate real world clinical performance of the ZES coronary system in Chinese patients. ⋯ Mid-term results from the real-world China Endeavor Registry suggest that Endeavor ZES was safe and effective in Chinese patients.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyDuloxetine versus placebo in the treatment of patients with generalized anxiety disorder in China.
Duloxetine is approved for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in the United States and elsewhere. This study aimed to assess the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of duloxetine in Chinese patients with GAD. ⋯ Duloxetine 60 - 120 mg once daily is effective and well-tolerated for the treatment of patients with GAD in China.

Multicenter StudyDeterminants for inadequate glycaemic control in Chinese patients with mild-to-moderate type 2 diabetes on oral antidiabetic drugs alone.
Prevalence of inadequate glycaemic control among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remains high. We assessed glycaemic control in the real-life practice among people with T2DM in metropolises in China who were treated with oral antidiabetic drugs (OAD) alone and to determine factors associated with inadequate glycaemic control in this population. ⋯ Approximately one half of these outpatients with T2DM from the metropolitan medical centers in China had inadequate glycaemic control treated with OAD alone, which raises the need for more effective educational and therapeutic approaches on management of hypertriglycemia, enhancing physical exercise and weight control, and at the same time, lowering the hypoglycemic risk and diminishing the hypoglycemic fear of patients.

Multicenter StudyCytogenetic characteristics of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 275 Chinese patients by fluorescence in situ hybridization: a multicenter study.
Under conventional cytogenetic (CC) analysis, only 30% - 50% of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) cases show clonal aberrations. Using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), the percentage of patients with abnormalities rises to almost 80%, among them, the most frequent abnormalities were 13q14, 11q22, p53 deletions and trisomy 12. The aim of this study was to explore the incidence of cytogenetic changes in Chinese patients with B-CLL. ⋯ Chinese CLL patients have the similar frequencies of del(13q), trisomy 12, del(11q) and a higher frequency of del(17p) when compared to literatures. Del(17p) is associated with advanced stage and low levels of Hb and PLT. Patients with p53 deletion, or advanced stage probably have poor survival in China.

Multicenter StudyEfficacy and safety of Firebird sirolimus-eluting stent in treatment of complex coronary lesions in Chinese patients: one-year clinical and eight-month angiographic outcomes from the FIREMAN registry.
Off-label application of drug-eluting stents (DES) during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was not uncommon in daily practice, however DES in treating Chinese patients with complex lesion subset was under-investigated. The primary objective of the FIREMAN registry was to evaluate the long term efficacy and safety of the Firebird sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) in treating patients with complex coronary lesions. Here we report the mid-term of one-year clinical outcomes and eight-month angiographic follow-up results of FIREMAN registry. ⋯ The results showed that the Firebird SES was effective and safe in treating Chinese patients with complex coronary lesions and occurrence of ST rate at one-year clinical follow-up was acceptable, however further long-term follow-up was still necessary.
