Randomized Controlled TrialBismuth, esomeprazole, metronidazole, and minocycline or tetracycline as a first-line regimen for Helicobacter pylori eradication: A randomized controlled trial.
Given the general unavailability, common adverse effects, and complicated administration of tetracycline, the clinical application of classic bismuth quadruple therapy (BQT) is greatly limited. Whether minocycline can replace tetracycline for Helicobacter pylori ( H . pylori ) eradication is unknown. We aimed to compare the eradication rate, safety, and compliance between minocycline- and tetracycline-containing BQT as first-line regimens. ⋯ The eradication efficacy of minocycline-containing BQT was noninferior to tetracycline-containing BQT as first-line regimen for H . pylori eradication with similar safety and compliance.

Randomized Controlled TrialEfficacy and safety of low-dose aspirin on preventing transplant renal artery stenosis: a prospective randomized controlled trial.
Transplant renal artery stenosis (TRAS) is a vascular complication after kidney transplantation associated with poor outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the efficacy and safety of low-dose aspirin for preventing TRAS. ⋯ Clinical application of low-dose aspirin after renal transplant could prevent the development of TRAS with no significant increase in adverse effects.

Randomized Controlled TrialLow-dose aspirin in the prevention of pre-eclampsia in China: postpartum hemorrhage in subgroups of women according to their characteristics and potential bleeding risk.
The APPEC study is a large-population randomized controlled trial in China evaluating the role of low-dose aspirin prophylactic treatment for pre-eclampsia. There was no statistically significant difference in postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) incidence between the aspirin and control groups. This study aimed to evaluate the potential bleeding risk of 100 mg aspirin in high-risk pregnant women and the difference in the incidence of PPH according to maternal characteristics. ⋯ A dosage of 100 mg of aspirin per day, initiated from 12 to 20 gestational weeks until 34 weeks of gestation, did not increase the risk of potential bleeding and PPH regardless of the maternal characteristic. In the aspirin group, the positive correlation between BMI and PPH was significant.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyContinuation, reduction, or withdrawal of tofacitinib in patients with rheumatoid arthritis achieving sustained disease control: a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a chronic systemic autoimmune disease, is characterized by synovitis and progressive damage to the bone and cartilage of the joints, leading to disability and reduced quality of life. This study was a randomized clinical trial comparing the outcomes between withdrawal and dose reduction of tofacitinib in patients with RA who achieved sustained disease control. ⋯ Withdrawal of tofacitinib in patients with RA with stable disease control resulted in a rapid and significant loss of efficacy, while standard or reduced doses of tofacitinib maintained a favorable state.
