Electroacupuncture reduced airway inflammation by activating somatosensory-sympathetic pathways in allergic asthmatic rats.
Electroacupuncture (EA) treatment is efficacious in patients with respiratory disorders, although the mechanisms of its action in lung-function protection are poorly understood. This study aimed to explore the neuroanatomical mechanisms of EA stimulation at the BL13 acupoint (Feishu, EA-BL13) improvement in asthma. ⋯ This study provided a new explanation and clinical basis for the use of EA-BL13 as a treatment for allergic asthma in both the attack and remission stages and other respiratory disorders related to airway inflammation.

Role of submucosal injection in radiofrequency ablation of gastric low-grade dysplasia: Effects on symptoms and outcomes.
To date, there is still a lack of standardized management strategies for gastric low-grade dysplasia (LGD), which is a direct neoplastic precancerous lesion and requires specifically superficial destruction. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is expected to be an effective method for gastric LGD, but post-RFA pain may affect patients' satisfaction and compliance. The current study aimed to evaluate the value of a submucosal injection prior to RFA (SI-RFA) for postoperative pain and treatment outcomes. ⋯ Submucosal injections prior to RFA may reduce postoperative pain and scar formation while ensuring complete ablation of gastric LGD. However, local recurrence and progression should be considered seriously.

B7-H3 in acute myeloid leukemia: From prognostic biomarker to immunotherapeutic target.
B7-H3 (CD276), an immune checkpoint protein of the B7 family, exhibits significant upregulation in solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, exerting a crucial role in their pathophysiology. The distinct differential expression of B7-H3 between tumors and normal tissues and its multifaceted involvement in tumor pathogenesis position it as a promising therapeutic target for tumors. In the context of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), B7-H3 is prominently overexpressed and closely associated with unfavorable prognoses, yet it has remained understudied. ⋯ In view of this, we comprehensively outline the current research progress concerning B7-H3 in AML, encompassing in-depth discussions on its structural attributes, receptor interactions, expression profiles, and biological significance in normal tissues and AML. Moreover, we delve into the protumor effects of B7-H3 in AML, examine the intricate mechanisms that underlie its function, and discuss the emerging application of B7-H3-targeted therapy in AML treatment. By juxtaposing B7-H3 with other molecules within the B7 family, this review emphasizes the distinctive advantages of B7-H3, not only as a valuable prognostic biomarker but also as a highly promising immunotherapeutic target in AML.
