Multicenter Study Comparative StudyPatient self-management program for diabetes: first-year clinical, humanistic, and economic outcomes.
To assess the outcomes for the first year following the initiation of a multisite community pharmacy care services (PCS) program for patients with diabetes. ⋯ Patients who participated in the program had significant improvement in clinical indicators of diabetes management, higher rates of self-management goal setting and achievement, and increased satisfaction with diabetes care, and employers experienced a decline in mean projected total direct medical costs.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study Clinical TrialPharmacists' and technicians' perceptions and attitudes toward dispensing buprenorphine/ naloxone to patients with opioid dependence.
To assess the perceptions and attitudes of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians involved in an office-based opioid dependence treatment program using buprenorphine/naloxone. ⋯ The majority of respondents expressed positive attitudes and perceptions regarding patients treated for opioid dependence with buprenorphine/naloxone.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Clinical TrialHumanistic outcomes in the hypertension and COPD arms of a multicenter outcomes study.
To evaluate the effects of pharmaceutical care on selected humanistic outcomes in patients with hypertension or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). ⋯ Although patients were not dissatisfied with traditional pharmacy care, they were more satisfied overall with the pharmaceutical care model.
