Randomized Controlled TrialThe effectiveness of foot reflexology in reducing anxiety and duration of labor in primiparas: An open-label randomized controlled trial.
Reflexology alleviates anxiety and may shorten the duration of labor. We evaluated the effect of reflexology on anxiety level and duration of labor in primiparas with moderate-to-severe anxiety. ⋯ Foot reflexology had a positive short-term anxiolytic effect during labor in primiparas with moderate-to-severe anxiety but did not affect the duration of labor.

A systematic review association of reflexology in managing symptoms and side effects of breast cancer treatment.
Reflexology is one of complementary approaches most used by patients with breast cancer. The purpose of this article was to evaluate the effects of reflexology on managing symptoms and side effects of breast cancer treatment. ⋯ enough high-level evidence has not been reported to confirm the effectiveness of reflexology on breast cancer symptom management.

Back pain is among the most common complaints of patients during the first hours after coronary angiography (CA), i.e. when they are restricted to complete bed rest. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of foot reflexology on back pain after CA. ⋯ Foot reflexology is effective in significantly reducing back pain after CA.

Poor sleep and fatigue are among the most common complaints of patients with migraine. These problems can lead to different negative consequences such as headaches. This study aimed to examine the impacts of self-administered acupressure on sleep quality and fatigue among patients with migraine. ⋯ As a noninvasive non-pharmacological therapy, acupressure can significantly reduce fatigue among patients with migraine.
