Ewing sarcoma (ES) and primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) belong to the group of neoplasms called small round cell tumors. PNETs have been divided into central and peripheral. ES and peripheral PNETs arise from bones, soft tissues, or peripheral nerves. ⋯ He was referred to hepatobiliary surgery for surgical resection of the residual lesion. The patient rejected the proposed surgical procedure. Our objective is to highlight the clinical and histological diagnostic challenge of this entity that requires ruling out other clinical entities.

Listeria monocytogenes is a Gram-positive aerobic bacterium; found ubiquitously in nature; which mainly affects newborns, older adults, immunosuppressed patients and pregnant women. However, Listeria disease can occur in the healthy population. Invasive listeriosis has three dominant clinical forms, bacteremia, neurolisteriosis and maternal-neonatal infection. ⋯ Systemic listeriosis without dominant neurological symptoms is a rare event. Two cases are presented. The first was spondylodiscitis in a normal host and the second was Listeria bacteremia in a febrile immunocompromised patient.

Little evidence exists on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemics on the compliance with cervical cancer treatment. ⋯ Low access to brachytherapy was a major determinant of non-compliance. irrespective of the effect of the pandemics.

The tetravalent live virus vaccine developed by Takeda called Qdenga® is available in Argentina and approved for use from 4 years of age without age limit. The objective was to describe clinical characteristics and evolution of the initial reports of rash after the first dose. ⋯ In passive surveillance, after more than 12 000 first doses administered, the presence of rash was observed in less than 0.12% of those vaccinated. Everyone evolved favorably.

Rapid diagnostic units (RDUs) represent an alternative to conventional hospitalization diagnosis, enabling outpatient care for patients with suspected potentially severe disease. The first year of operation of a Rapid Diagnostic and Short Stay Unit (RDSSU) is described. ⋯ The unit successfully conducted initial evaluations and reached diagnosis within a short timeframe, avoiding emergency room visits and general ward admissions, thereby increasing bed availability.
