Multicenter StudyTranscarotid Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: Feasibility and Safety.
The purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility and safety of transcarotid transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). ⋯ Transcarotid vascular access for TAVR is feasible and is associated with encouraging short- and medium-term clinical outcomes. Prospective studies are required to ascertain if transcarotid TAVR yields equivalent results to other nonfemoral vascular access routes.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyLeft Main Stenting in Comparison With Surgical Revascularization: 10-Year Outcomes of the (Left Main Coronary Artery Stenting) LE MANS Trial.
This study has reported 10-year clinical follow-up of patients enrolled in the prospective, randomized LE MANS (Left Main Stenting) trial. ⋯ In patients with unprotected left main coronary artery stenosis with low and medium complexity of coexisting coronary artery disease, stenting offers numerically, but statistically nonsignificant, favorable long-term outcome up to 10 years in terms of safety and efficacy outcome measures, therefore, constitutes an alternative therapy for CABG.

Multicenter Study Clinical Trial1-Year Outcomes With the Fully Repositionable and Retrievable Lotus Transcatheter Aortic Replacement Valve in 120 High-Risk Surgical Patients With Severe Aortic Stenosis: Results of the REPRISE II Study.
This analysis presents the first report of 1-year outcomes of the 120 patients enrolled in the REPRISE II (Repositionable Percutaneous Placement of Stenotic Aortic Valve Through Implantation of Lotus Valve System-Evaluation of Safety and Performance) study. ⋯ At 1 year of follow-up, the Lotus Valve demonstrated excellent valve hemodynamics, no moderate or severe paravalvular regurgitation, and significant and sustained improvement in New York Heart Association functional class status, with good clinical outcomes. This study sought to develop a novel parsimonious score for predicting technical success of chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) performed using the hybrid approach. ⋯ The PROGRESS CTO score is a novel useful tool for estimating technical success in CTO PCI performed using the hybrid approach.

Multicenter StudyProspective Multicenter Evaluation of the Direct Flow Medical Transcatheter Aortic Valve System: 12-Month Outcomes of the Evaluation of the Direct Flow Medical Percutaneous Aortic Valve 18F System for the Treatment of Patients With Severe Aortic Stenosis (DISCOVER) Study.
The aim of this study was to assess the 1-year outcome after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) of the Direct Flow Medical (DFM) valve in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who were contraindicated or high risk for surgery. ⋯ At 1 year, the DFM transcatheter heart valve had durable hemodynamics. This study demonstrates that the low rate of early complications and the low risk of significant aortic regurgitation translated into midterm clinical benefit.
