Comparative Study Observational StudyTranscatheter ViV Versus Redo Surgical AVR for the Management of Failed Biological Prosthesis: Early and Late Outcomes in a Propensity-Matched Cohort.
The aim of this study was to compare early and late outcomes between redo surgical aortic valve replacement (AVR) and valve-in-valve (ViV) transcatheter AVR. ⋯ ViV TAVR was associated with lower early mortality, morbidity, and length of hospital stay and with increased survival compared with RS and may be the preferred approach for the treatment of failed biological prostheses.

Multicenter StudyMitral Regurgitation in Low-Flow, Low-Gradient Aortic Stenosis Patients Undergoing TAVR: Insights From the TOPAS-TAVI Registry.
This study sought to determine the incidence, clinical impact, and changes over time of mitral regurgitation (MR) in patients with low-flow, low-gradient aortic stenosis (LFLG-AS) undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). ⋯ Most TAVR candidates with LFLG-AS had some degree of MR, of functional origin in most cases. MR improved in about one-half of patients, with larger left ventricular size and a higher increase in left ventricular ejection fraction post-TAVR determining MR improvement over time. The lack of MR improvement at 1 year was associated with poorer outcomes.

Multicenter Study Comparative StudyCombined Tricuspid and Mitral Versus Isolated Mitral Valve Repair for Severe MR and TR: An Analysis From the TriValve and TRAMI Registries.
The aim of this study was to retrospectively compare the characteristics, procedural courses, and outcomes of patients presenting with concomitant mitral regurgitation (MR) and tricuspid regurgitation (TR) in the TriValve (Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Therapies) and TRAMI (Transcatheter Mitral Valve Interventions) registries. ⋯ Concurrent TMTVR was associated with a higher 1-year survival rate compared with isolated TMVR in patients with both MR and TR. Further randomized trials are needed to confirm these results.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyThe REDUCE HTN: REINFORCE: Randomized, Sham-Controlled Trial of Bipolar Radiofrequency Renal Denervation for the Treatment of Hypertension.
The aim of this study was to investigate bipolar radiofrequency renal denervation in patients with hypertension not receiving medications at baseline. ⋯ Future studies of radiofrequency renal denervation must anticipate delayed treatment effects.
