Multicenter StudyA Bicuspid Aortic Valve Imaging Classification for the TAVR Era.
This study sought to evaluate transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) aortic stenosis (AS), with a particular emphasis on TAVR-directed bicuspid aortic valve imaging (BAVi) of morphological classification. ⋯ In this multicenter study, TAVR achieved favorable outcomes in patients with pre-procedural CT, with the exception of high permanent pacemaker rates for all devices and shapes.

Multicenter Study Clinical TrialSafety and Efficacy of Self-Expanding TAVR in Patients With Aortoventricular Angulation.
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between aortoventricular (AoV) angulation on clinical outcomes after self-expanding transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in patients with severe aortic stenosis who were deemed suboptimal for surgery. ⋯ The degree of AoV angulation does not affect early clinical outcomes self-expanding transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Multicenter Study Comparative StudyCT Angiography for the Prediction of Hemodynamic Significance in Intermediate and Severe Lesions: Head-to-Head Comparison With Quantitative Coronary Angiography Using Fractional Flow Reserve as the Reference Standard.
The goal of this study was to compare the diagnostic performance of coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA) versus quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) for the detection of lesion-specific ischemia using fractional flow reserve (FFR) as the gold standard. ⋯ CTA and ICA exhibited similar diagnostic performance for the detection and exclusion of lesion-specific ischemia. Using a true reference standard to determine appropriate revascularization targets, 3-dimensional coronary CTA performed as well as 2-dimensional ICA.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study Observational Studyhs-Troponin I Followed by CT Angiography Improves Acute Coronary Syndrome Risk Stratification Accuracy and Work-Up in Acute Chest Pain Patients: Results From ROMICAT II Trial.
This study compared diagnostic accuracy of conventional troponin/traditional coronary artery disease (CAD) assessment and highly sensitive troponin (hsTn) I/advanced CAD assessment for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) during the index hospitalization. ⋯ hsTnI at the time of presentation followed by early advanced coronary CTA assessment improves the risk stratification and diagnostic accuracy for ACS as compared to conventional troponin and traditional coronary CTA assessment. Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudySeverity of Remodeling, Myocardial Viability, and Survival in Ischemic LV Dysfunction After Surgical Revascularization.
This study sought to test the hypothesis that end-systolic volume (ESV), as a marker of severity of left ventricular (LV) remodeling, influences the relationship between myocardial viability and survival in patients with coronary artery disease and LV systolic dysfunction. ⋯ Among patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy, those with greater LV ESVI and no substantial viability had worse prognosis. However, the effect of CABG relative to medical therapy was not differentially influenced by the combination of these 2 factors. Lower ESVI did not identify patients in whom myocardial viability predicted better outcome with CABG relative to medical therapy.
