Case Reports[Traumatic dislocation of the globe into the maxillary sinus--is a rehabilitation possible?].
The complete traumatic dislocation of the globe into the maxillary sinus after orbital floor fractures is a very rare event. It results from direct transmission of a traumatic force which impinges the orbital frame or may result from an increasing pressure to the orbital contents. Diplopia or evidence of a displaced globe necessitates an exploration and reconstruction of the orbital floor. ⋯ This case of complete dislocation of the globe into the maxillary sinus demonstrates that only few injuries may result and that after operative reconstruction of the orbital floor a good functional result can achieved.

Case Reports[Photodynamic therapy of lid basal cell carcinomas in a 13-year-old patient with Gorlin Goltz syndrome].

We report a severe infantile manifestation with lid involvement treated by photodynamic therapy (PDT). ⋯ In cases of numerous confluent and surgically not removable BCC, PDT represents an effective therapy. Frequent monitoring is necessary to maintain the clinical outcome.

Case ReportsClinical findings in patients with topical anaesthetic abuse keratitis: a report of five cases.
The purpose of this study is to describe the clinical findings in five patients with topical anaesthetic abuse. ⋯ Although topical anaesthetic abuse keratitis is rare, it should be considered in the differential diagnosis when we see a patient with a persistent corneal epithelial defect together with a ring infiltration on the corneal stroma. Psychiatric diseases and/or systemic drug abuse are usually associated with this toxic keratopathy. The psychiatric diseases that accompany this toxic keratopathy may also lead to death or to severe handicap as a result of suicide attempts by the patients. Psychiatric consultation and therapy are imperative in the management of such patients.
