Universal Bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccine (BCG) vaccination was discontinued in Ireland in April 2015 due to a lack of vaccine supply. We analysed notifications from the Irish National Tuberculosis Surveillance System from 2011 to 2021 to examine the direct impact of vaccination cessation on active tuberculosis cases among young children. ⋯ Health Service Executive, Ireland.

People experiencing homelessness faced unique challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including changes to accommodation availability, societal restrictions impacting access to essentials like food, and services moving to remote access. Employment is a determinant of health. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted working lives, forcing individuals to adapt to new ways of working. Under-education and living in poverty are known risk factors for dementia. However, single-variable makers of socioeconomic position (SEP) are often correlated and cannot reflect the overall SEP. We examined association between composite SEP and incident dementia using UK-wide data. ⋯ None.

Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is an approach to behaviour change introduced by Public Health England in 2008. Derbyshire have implemented MECC using the Quality Conversation (QC) programme which is based around health coaching and psychology skills and delivered remotely by qualified coaches.
