Case Reports
Minimally invasive surgery for inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the urinary bladder: Three case reports.
Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors of the urinary bladder (IMTUB) is exceptionally rare. Currently, no standardized treatment has been established for IMTUBs. ⋯ Bladder-sparing treatment by TURBT or partial cystectomy remains the main mode of treatment for IMTUB. Laparoscopic and robot-assisted laparoscopic approach is safe and may yield satisfactory oncological and functional results. Regular follow-up protocol is necessary after operation.

A novel use of virtual reality in the treatment of cognitive and motor deficit in spinal cord injury: A case report.
Aim of this study is to evaluate the cognitive and motor outcomes after a combined rehabilitative training using a standard cognitive approach and virtual reality (VR), in a patient with spinal cord injury (SCI). ⋯ Virtual reality can be considered a promising tool for the rehabilitation of different neurological disorders, including patients with both motor and cognitive deficits following SCI.

Pulmonary large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) is a rare type of lung cancer, and 40% of patients are in stage IV at initial diagnosis. It has an extremely poor prognosis with a 1-year survival rate of 27%. Patients with LCNEC are predominantly male, older, and heavy smokers. There has been no clinical trial conducted to determine the best treatment for advanced LCNEC. Temozolomide (TMZ) has been successfully used to treat a variety of malignancies, such as glioblastoma multiforme, astrocytoma, non-small-cell lung carcinoma. However, its efficacy in advanced stage pulmonary LCNEC has rarely been studied. ⋯ TMZ appears to be an efficacious option to treat elderly patients with advanced LCNEC.

Pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma metastasis to small intestine causing intussusception: A case report.
Pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma (PRMS) is a rare soft tissue malignancy which is frequently misdiagnosed and associated with metastasis to the lungs, lymph nodes, and bone marrow. Case studies are needed to improve the awareness of the disease and our understanding of it. ⋯ PRMS can be aggressive, and surgical treatment in combination with multidrug chemotherapy can be used in the management.

Compressive radial neuropathy by a synovial cyst during pregnancy: A clinical case report.
Compressive radial neuropathy by a synovial cyst in the radial tunnel during pregnancy is a rare occurrence. The management of radial nerve compression caused by a synovial cyst in a pregnant patient is a surgical dilemma owing to the fetal and maternal risks of treatment. ⋯ symptoms from nerve compression were improved after surgical treatment LESSONS:: This report illustrates the case of a pregnant woman presenting a compressive neuropathy by an enlarged cyst possibly due to the unbalance of growth factors during pregnancy. With proper diagnosis and timely surgical intervention, such patients can achieve good neurologic recovery without maternal or fetal complications.
