Case Reports
Unusual location of the glomus tumour in the liver: A case report and literature review.
Liver glomus tumor is very rare, and only 6 cases have been reported. Herein, we report another case of liver glomus tumor and the clinicopathological features are summarized. ⋯ Primary liver glomus tumor has no specific clinical manifestations, and imaging examinations have limitations for its diagnosis. Immunostaining for SMA and vimentin is necessary to prove the diagnosis. Complete resection is strongly advised and it has a favorable prognosis.

Case Reports
Rhabdomyolysis following status epilepticus with hyperuricemia: A case report and literature review.
Rhabdomyolysis owing to status epilepticus (SE) can be life-threating, with acute kidney injury (AKI) the most serious complication; therefore, early recognition of the risk factors is important. Hyperuricemia after epileptic seizures has been reported, and severe hyperuricemia can lead to acute renal function damage. ⋯ Hyperuricemia after SE might indicate severe muscle damage or reduced clearance of metabolites, and could be a risk factor for kidney dysfunction, especially with rhabdomyolysis. To our knowledge, this is the first report of rhabdomyolysis following SE with hyperuricemia.

We describe the unique case of a child with pneumonia presenting with acute scoliosis and abdominal pain, without any typical features of the disease. A 10-year-old girl presented to the emergency department on 3 consecutive days with right-sided abdominal pain. There were no associated features, in particular, no fevers or respiratory symptoms. ⋯ Despite treatment, the parapneumonic effusion enlarged rapidly and she developed respiratory distress, necessitating transfer to a tertiary centre. The diagnosis of pneumonia can be challenging because of a lack of respiratory signs, the masking of systemic features by antipyretic effects of first-line analgesics, and a high rate of false-negative chest radiographs. The development of acute scoliosis should lead the clinician to strongly consider pneumonia in such circumstances.

Observational Study
Prevalence, risk factors, and prognosis of interstitial lung disease in a large cohort of Chinese primary Sjögren syndrome patients: A case-control study.
To determine the prevalence of pulmonary complications in primary Sjögren syndrome (pSS), and to identify the risk factors and the prognosis associated with pulmonary involvement in pSS patients. A total of 1341 hospitalized patients (853 with pSS and 488 with secondary Sjögren syndrome [sSS]) were retrospectively reviewed. Of these, 165 hospitalized patients with pSS-associated interstitial lung disease (ILD) were analyzed and recruited as a study group. ⋯ Age, RF, and CRP were independent predictors of ILD after adjustment for confounders. Lung involvement is a common and severe complication of Sjögren syndrome. Age and disease activity are correlated with pulmonary involvement in pSS patients.

Case Reports
Transient ischemic attack characterized by external strabismus of the left eye: A case report.
Patients rarely display eye movement dysfunctions as the primary symptom in transient ischemic attack. ⋯ Atypical symptoms of transient ischemic attack are easy to be overlooked. Early diagnosis and timely treatments are keys to reverse the neurological symptoms and can be highly beneficial for patients with this condition.
