Nurse-led interventions on quality of life for patients with cancer: A meta-analysis.
To compare the quality of life outcome between nurse-led and non-nurse-led interventions for patients with cancer using a meta-analysis. ⋯ The nurse-led disease management strategy seemed to be effective to improve constipation, insomnia, and financial impacts for patients with cancer in quality of life assessment.

Unilateral versus bilateral percutaneous balloon kyphoplasty for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures: A systematic review of overlapping meta-analyses.
Unilateral and bilateral percutaneous balloon kyphoplasty (PKP) are 2 main approaches for the treatment of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs). Numerous published systematic reviews and meta-analyses evaluating the effectiveness of 2 approaches remain inconclusive. In order to propose a significant principle to make decisions for comparing clinical safety and efficacy of unilateral versus bilateral PKP for treating OVCFs patients based on the currently best available evidence, a systematic review of overlapping meta-analysis was conducted. ⋯ Unilateral percutaneous balloon kyphoplasty is more advantageous and superior to bilateral percutaneous kyphoplasty, and should be considered an effective option for the treatment of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion versus hybrid surgery in multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy: A meta-analysis.
A meta-analysis was performed to compare the radiographic and surgical outcomes between anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and hybrid surgery (HS, corpectomy combined with discectomy) in the treatment for multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (mCSM). ⋯ Based on our meta-analysis, except for blood loss and total complications, both ACDF and hybrid surgery are effective options for the treatment of multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy.

The efficacy and safety of once-weekly DPP-4 inhibitor omarigliptin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A systemic review and meta-analysis.
The efficacy and safety of once-weekly dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP-4i) omarigliptin as monotherapy or add on to other antihyperglycemic agents (AHAs) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is unclear. ⋯ This review revealed that omarigliptin had a favorable efficacy and safety as monotherapy or add on to other AHAs in treating T2DM patients. It is a superior choice for T2DM patients who have a poor adherence to daily AHAs.

Potential role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound for the differentiation of malignant and benign gallbladder lesions in East Asia: A meta-analysis and systematic review.
The purpose of this study was to systematically review and evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in differentiating malignant and benign gallbladder lesions. ⋯ The results yielded from the available evidence suggest that CEUS is a promising and adjuvant imaging technique to conventional ultrasound for the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant gallbladder lesions.
