Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nonpharmacological interventions are gaining an increasing popularity for chronic pulmonary obstructive disease (COPD) treatment and rehabilitation, yet their comparative effectiveness and safety remains unclear. Therefore, this study will aim to compare their effectiveness and safety for COPD by implementing a network-meta analysis. ⋯ The review findings will provide a ranking evidence of current TCM nonpharmacological interventions and help to inform clinical practitioners, COPD patients, and policy-makers in the decision-making.

Clinical researchers found that Amlodipine besylate and Valsartan (ABVS) can effectively treat mild to moderate hypertension (MMH). However, no study has systematically investigated its efficacy and safety for patients with MMH. Thus, present study will systematically assess the efficacy and safety of ABVS for patients with MMH. ⋯ PROSPERO CRD42019133123.

The effect of neuromuscular reversal agent on postoperative pain after laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery: Comparison between the neostigmine and sugammadex.
Use of sugammadex for neuromuscular block reversal is associated with fewer postoperative complications than neostigmine; however, the effects on postoperative pain outcomes are largely unknown. In this retrospective study, we investigated the relationship between neuromuscular reversal agents and postoperative pain-related outcomes following laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery. We reviewed the electronic health records of patients who underwent laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery between January 2010 and June 2017. ⋯ However, hospital stay was shorter (coefficient: -0.60, 95% CI -1.12 to -0.08; P = .025) and postoperative complication rate was lower (odds ratio: 0.20, 95% CI 0.07-0.58; P = .003) in the sugammadex group. In this retrospective study, patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery who received sugammadex for neuromuscular block reversal exhibited greater postoperative analgesic requirements than those who received neostigmine but had a shorter hospital stay and a lower postoperative complication rate. A randomized and blinded study should be conducted in the future to confirm the findings of the present study.

Pressure therapy (PST) has been reported for the treatment of hypertrophic scar (HS) effectively. However, no study has assessed its effect and safety systematically. Therefore, this study will investigate its effect and safety for patients with HS. ⋯ This study will provide up-to-date evidence of PST in patients with HS.Systematic review registration: PROSPERO CRD42019136627.
