This study aimed to identify significantly altered long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs), mRNAs, pathways in preeclampsia (PE), and to investigate their targeted relationships and biological functions. GSE96985 from Gene Expression Omnibus database was extracted, involving 3 PE and 4 normal tissues. After the differential expression analysis of miRNAs, lncRNAs, and mRNAs using the limma package, protein-protein interaction (PPI) network and module analyses were performed for differentially expressed mRNAs (dif-mRNAs). ⋯ Therefore, lnc-CTD-2383M3.1 functions as a competing endogenous RNA in ADAMTS6 expression regulation by competitively binding to miR-210-3p during the regulation process of PE. C3, CXCL8, FN1, and ADAMTS6 might be involved in the development of PE. The lnc-CTD-2383M3.1-miR-210-3p-ADAMTS6 axis might be a potential regulatory mechanism in PE.

To analyze magnetic resonance imaging features of nodular fasciitis and redefine the system for classifying this class of lesions. Twenty-seven patients with nodular fasciitis and 71 patients with other soft tissue lesions who underwent surgery or biopsy were retrospectively analysed. Demographic information, medical history, and magnetic resonance imaging features were collected. ⋯ The "cloud sign" only appeared in nodular fasciitis (P < .05). The "fascia tail sign" and "cloud sign" could help differentiate nodular fasciitis from other soft tissue lesions. A new classification may improve understanding about nodular fasciitis.

Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy successfully treated with metformin: A case report.
Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy (MNTI) is a rare tumor originated from neural crest cells with the potential for recurrence and metastasis. The peak age for the disease is during the first year after birth. The current therapy is primarily surgery. The patient reported here is the first case of MNTI treated with metformin. ⋯ The case presented suggested that metformin may be an underlying therapy for MNTI.

Mirizzi syndrome (MS) is an uncommon condition characterized by common hepatic duct (CHD) compression by an impacted gallbladder or cystic duct stones or adjacent inflammation. To date, a standardized therapeutic strategy for MS has not been established yet, owing to its complex clinical presentation. Thus, researchers still have to develop new optimized approaches to solve this problem. Herein, we describe a patient with refractory MS who underwent a successful treatment by novel hybrid anchoring balloon-guided direct peroral cholangioscopy (POC) using an ultraslim endoscope. ⋯ Our novel hybrid anchoring balloon-guided direct POC may be an effective alternative treatment approach for difficult gallbladder cases, such as refractory MS.

Dacryocystitis secondary to neglected silicone tube in lacrimal duct for 10 years: A case report.
Contracture of dacryocyst by an implanted lacrimal silicone tube is rare. This report describes a unique case of secondary dacryocystitis and the contracture of dacryocyst caused by a lacrimal silicone tube that was placed in the lacrimal system for 10 years. ⋯ The findings, in this case, suggest that silicone tubes are safe and effective, and can be placed in the lacrimal drainage system. However, in this patient, prolonged intubation caused chronic inflammation, granulation tissue formation, and dacryocyst contracture. Our findings could inform surgeons to consider the reasonable duration of intubation for treating cases of lacrimal obstruction, in order to avoid unnecessary complications.
