Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a common disease. It has long been believed that the main causes of KOA are knee degenerative diseases, trauma, overwork, and labor habits. However, long-term deformity leads to uneven stress on the surface of the knee joint, and the cause of lower limb force line damage has not been taken seriously. Comprehensive application of high tibial osteotomy (HTO), chronic distraction tissue regeneration, and computer-assisted external fixation for the treatment of severe KOA has many advantages over total knee arthroplasty, such as lasting and thorough orthopedic effects, a lower cost, and a faster recovery. ⋯ For the treatment of KOA patients with genu varus, the combination of HTO, chronic distraction tissue regeneration, and computer-assisted adjustment of external fixation technology have a good effect on the correction of genu varus deformity and the recovery of the lower limb force line. This treatment method is also conducive to preventing postoperative infection and avoiding secondary trauma caused by the removal of internal fixation plates.

Cardiac masses are rare, but lead to high risk of stroke and death. Because of the different treatment methods, it is significant for clinicians to differentiate the nature of masses. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has high intrinsic soft-tissue contrast and high spatial and temporal resolution and can provide evidence for differential diagnosis of cardiac masses. However, there is no evidence-based conclusion as to its accuracy. Therefore, the purpose of our study is to perform a systematic review on this issue and provide useful information for clinical diagnosis and treatment. ⋯ CRD42019137800.

Tai Chi is gaining an increasing popularity in rehabilitation management of chronic conditions. Yet no consensus has reached on its efficacy and safety of type 2 diabetes despite that several systematic reviews (SRs) were published on this topic. Therefore, we will conduct an overview to critically evaluate current SRs and implement an updated metaanalysis with recently published randomized controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ This study finding will provide an updated evidence of Tai Chi for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), thus to help inform clinical physicians, T2DM patients and their families to develop better rehabilitation plans and to draw more attention of decision-makers in exercise rehabilitation related policy-making.This study protocol has been applied for registration on PROSPERO platform (https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO/), with an assigned ID: CRD42019140988.

Type A aortic dissection (TAAD) is a life-threatening disorder yet it is hard to diagnose. The dissection might extend to the coronary artery causing ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Physicians might not recognize this particularly early in its presentation and patients proceed to receive the primary percutaneous coronary intervention. We present such a case and found that the marked pressure difference between the radial and ascending aortae could be a useful clue for diagnosing the aortic dissection-related myocardial infarction. ⋯ We present such a case and found that the marked pressure difference between the radial and ascending aortae during catheterization could be a useful clue for diagnosing the aortic dissection-related myocardial infarction. This clue had hinted our speedy examination of the occluded coronary artery and dissection flap, and led to an early and accurate diagnosis.

Pregnancy-related low back pain (PLPB) and pelvic pain (PP) are common in pregnancy. In spite of its high prevalence rate, treatment of the disorder is a challenging topic. Women commonly utilize complementary exercise therapies such as yoga, motor control exercises, breathing exercises, core stability exercise, pelvic stability exercise, and so on to manage their symptoms. However, it is currently unknown whether exercise produces more beneficial effects than other treatment in patients with PLPB and PP. The aim of this study is to explore the therapeutic effect of exercise for pregnancy-related low back pain and PP. ⋯ PROSPERO CRD 42017075099.
