Case Reports
Promising response to a PD-1 inhibitor (sintilimab) in non-small cell lung cancer: A case report.
Lung cancer is the cancer with the highest incidence and mortality in China and worldwide. Among them, 85% are non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). No previous reports have been published to describe the clinical effect of the immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) sintilimab in NSCLC yet. ⋯ Sintilimab is a promising drug for patients with locally advanced NSCLC. However, its efficacy still requires further clinical investigations.

Case Reports
Cutaneous metastasis of ascending colon cancer harboring a BRAF V600E mutation: A rare case report.
Cutaneous metastases from colorectal cancer are extremely rare and generally appear several years after diagnosis or resection of the primary colorectal tumor. Although cutaneous metastasis is unusual, it often indicates a poor prognosis. ⋯ Cutaneous metastasis of colorectal cancer with BRAF V600E mutation is a rare but important phenomenon that should not be ignored. Cutaneous metastasis of colorectal cancer frequently indicates advanced disease and poor prognosis. The SWOG 1406 program is one of the treatment options, but this needs further exploration.

Review Meta Analysis
The serratus anterior plane block for analgesia after thoracic surgery: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trails.
The serratus anterior plane (SAP) block is a newer method that can be used in patients undergoing thoracic surgeries. The postoperative analgesia efficacy of SAP blocks for thoracic surgery remains controversial. We conduct a meta-analysis to evaluate the analgesia of SAP blocks after thoracic surgery. ⋯ The SAP block can play an important role in the management of pain after thoracic surgery by reducing both pain scores and 24-h postoperative opioids consumption. In addition, there is fewer incidence of PONV in the SAP block group.

Observational Study
Chinese massage, Tui Na, combined with herbs improves clinical symptoms and regulates sex hormones in patients with mammary gland hyperplasia.
To study the effects of Tui Na therapy on patients with mammary gland hyperplasia. A total of 68 female patients with mammary gland hyperplasia were included in this retrospective study from May 2016 to May 2017 and assigned into control group (N = 34) treated with Rupixiao only (a proprietary Chinese medicine) or Tui Na group (N = 34) treated with Tui Na (Chinese massage) combined with Rupixiao. The pain intensity (visual analogous scale, VAS) and serum levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), prolactin (PRL), and progesterone (P) were examined before and after the treatment. ⋯ In control group, only LH and E2 levels were significantly increased after treatment. In patients with mammary gland hyperplasia, Tui Na combined with Rupixiao could improve clinical symptoms, regulate sex hormone levels, and decrease the recurrence rate than Rupixiao alone. Our finding suggests that Tui Na can be potentially used for the treatment of mammary gland hyperplasia.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious, sometimes life-threatening complication that can occur following spine surgery. The incidence of VTE, and the optimal type and timing of thromboprophylaxis for this complication in elective spine surgery is a matter of debate. ⋯ The poor design and high variability among the studies regarding characteristics of study population, details of interventions, and definitions of outcomes, determines a low quality of the available evidence and limits the interpretation of the results. We were unable to identify a clear advantage of one type of thromboprophylaxis over the other, although there was an increased risk of bleeding with chemoprophylaxis, which could favor the use of mechanoprophylaxis in this scenario.
