To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of antiemetic regimen with aprepitant in the prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) and provide updated information for clinical practice. ⋯ The aprepitant triple regimen is effective for the prevention of CINV in patients being treated with moderately or highly emetogenic chemotherapy, and has a significant tendency to reduce the risk of constipation and increase the incidence of hiccup.

Meta Analysis Comparative Study
Comparison of surgical outcomes of lumbar disc herniation using local anesthesia and epidural anesthesia: A meta-analysis.
We performed this meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of epidural anesthesia and local anesthesia on the surgical outcomes of lumbar disc herniation (DH). Electronic databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and the Chinese Academic Journal Full-text Database were searched to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that reported on the effects of local anesthesia and epidural anesthesia in lumbar DH surgical management. Evaluation indicators included: onset time of anesthesia, patient satisfaction, and the rate of adverse effects. ⋯ This meta-analysis demonstrated that the epidural anesthesia group had a better analgesic effect, a lower adverse effect rate (mean difference [MD] = 0.21, 95% confidence interval [CI] [0.08, 0.54], P = .001) and a better satisfaction rate: (MD = 6.54, 95% CI [2.77, 15.45], P < .0001). The duration of anesthesia was not statistically significant. Epidural anesthesia is a better choice for lumbar DH surgery compared to local anesthesia.

Randomized Controlled Trial
A randomized controlled trial for gualou danshen granules in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris patients with phlegm-blood stasis syndrome.
Unstable angina pectoris is an acute exacerbation secondary to coronary artery occlusion. In routine clinical treatment, patients with unstable angina pectoris are prone to recurrence or aggravation of symptoms. Based on the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, phlegm, and blood stasis are one of the main pathological factors of unstable angina pectoris. The treatment of unstable angina pectoris with phlegm-blood stasis syndrome by Gualou Danshen granules (GLDS) has been the focus of many clinical trials. However, there is no evidence to prove the safety or clinical efficacy of GLDS. ⋯ Previous TCM clinical trials have investigated if adding GLDS to standard routine treatment can improve the therapeutic effect in patients with unstable angina pectoris. This study focuses on the safety and efficacy of GLDS on unstable angina pectoris of phlegm-blood stasis type, in order to obtain relevant clinical evidence.

Review Case Reports
Plasma exchange for treating anti-Yo-associated paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration: Case report and literature review.
Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is a rare neurodegenerative syndrome associated with antibodies targeting the Purkinje cells of the cerebellum. Most cases of anti-Yo-associated PCD occur in females, with <20 cases reported in males. Herein, we report a male patient with anti-Yo-associated PCD who was treated with plasma exchange and achieved a favorable outcome. ⋯ Treatment with plasma exchange for anti-Yo-associated male PCD patients without a concomitant tumor are recommend and need more studies.
