Intensive care unit-acquired weakness (ICU-AW) is an acquired neuromuscular lesion and a common occurrence in patients who are critically ill. We will systematically summarize and incorporate the important risk factors and prevalence from previously published multivariate analyses for ICU-AW. ⋯ We hope that our research will contribute to clinicians and public decision making about the ICU-AW.

Rheumatoid arthritis has the characteristics of slow progression, long course, and repeated attacks. At present, western medicine commonly used in clinical practice not only reduces pain and improves symptoms, but also has more adverse reactions, affecting the health, and life of patients. In ancient China, Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction was used by doctors to treat rheumatoid arthritis, with remarkable effect. In recent years, many clinical studies have also shown that Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction has reliable effect in treating rheumatoid arthritis, but there is no evidence of evidence-based medicine. Therefore, this study aims to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/RZY3V.

Cost-effectiveness of direct oral anticoagulants versus vitamin K antagonist in atrial fibrillation: A study protocol using Real-World Data from Catalonia (FantasTIC Study).
Anticoagulant therapy is used for stroke prevention and proved to be effective and safe in the long term. The study aims to analyse the cost-effectiveness relationship of using of direct-acting oral anticoagulants vs vitamin K antagonists to prevent ischaemic stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, including all the active ingredients marketed in Spain, prescribed for 2 years in the Primary Care service of the Institut Català de la Salut. ⋯ We hope to provide relevant information about direct and indirect costs of oral anticoagulants, which, together with aspects of effectiveness and safety, could help shape the consensual decision-making of evaluating bodies.

Managing job stress in teachers of children with autism: A rational emotive occupational health coaching control trial.
Teaching has been found to be 1 of the most stressful occupations worldwide. Stress associated with teaching is more critical among teachers teaching children with special needs in general and those with autism specifically, partly due to the heterogeneous nature of the disorders. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Occupational Health Coaching (REOHC) in minimizing job stress in teachers of children with autism (CWA). ⋯ It was concluded that REOHC is effective in reducing subjective feelings and physiological symptoms of job stress, even when the objective stressors remain constant among teachers of CWA and other employees who work in stressful occupational environments.
