Chinese herbal medicines for mild cognitive impairment: A protocol for meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis.
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI), as a common neurodegenerative aging disease representing an intermediate stage between normal cognitive functioning and dementia, poses an excessive burden on health care. The clinical benefit of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) for MCI remains inconclusive. This study is aimed at evaluating the efficacy and acceptability of CHMs through meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis (TSA). ⋯ This study will provide reliable evidence and references for the selection of CHMs in therapy and future clinical research of MCI.

Recent studies have reported a connection between non-coding RNAs such as circular RNAs (circRNAs) and the prognosis of various cancers. However, the mechanism of circRNA in ovarian cancer and cervical cancer has not been consistent. We evaluated the diagnostic and prognostic roles of circRNAs in ovarian and cervical cancer by meta-analysis. ⋯ CircRNAs have the prospect of becoming a promising biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis of ovarian and cervical cancer. Accordingly, circRNAs might be novel indicators and targets of therapy for ovarian and cervical cancer.

Review Case Reports
Hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor-like follicular dendritic cell tumor with hepatic lymphoma history: A case report and literature review.
Hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT)-like follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma is a very rare disease. Till now, only 19 cases were reported in the English literature. However, the coexistence of IPT-like sarcoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in the same patient has never been reported. In this report, we presented a case of hepatic IPT-like FDC with hepatic NHL history of which both were successfully resected. ⋯ To our knowledge, this is the first report demonstrating hepatic IPT-like FDC sarcoma in a patient with primary hepatic NHL history. In regards to treatment, complete surgical resection should be performed and would acquire excellent long-term outcomes.

Bevacizumab is known to be very effective in inhibiting ocular neovascularization in neovascular glaucoma (NVG). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor on the surgical outcome of Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation (AGVI) in NVG. ⋯ AGVI with adjuvant bevacizumab had no significant effect on lowering IOP in patients with neovascular glaucoma compared with AGVI alone. However, the final success rate was higher for AGVI with adjuvant bevacizumab treatment than with AGVI alone.

Meta Analysis
The effectiveness of the problem-based learning in medical cell biology education: A systematic meta-analysis.
Problem-based learning (PBL) was widely adopted in medical cell biology education for Chinese student; however, there was no systematic analysis to prove PBL was much more effective than lecture-based learning (LBL). Our aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of PBL on cell biology curriculum compared with LBL. ⋯ The result indicated PBL was better than LBL in improvement of examination scores and comprehensive examination scores in cell biology curriculum to some extent. However, the satisfaction of students to PBL and LBL had no difference. The factors, including the different teachers, the similar or same examination papers and over 100 student numbers, affected the effectiveness of PBL and raised the heterogeneity of the pooled SMDs.
